MasukDevin POV Stella's eyes widened when she saw that I was not joking with her. In fact she was bound to lose a lot of things if she didn't cooperate with what I wanted out of life. Her eyes was so close to popping open when she's so festus standing in front of the they were blocking every arena of her escaping. "I never knew that this was something so serious. Why have you been looking for me all around like you miss me that much?" She inquired with a smile. If Stella was trying to get on my nerves she had to do even twice as hard to be able to get any piece of information from me that she could run to the rumor mill to feed them. I had decided a long time ago that I wanted to make sure that everything will made intact. I wasn't going to allow her push me out of character but I wanted to set some ground rules. I didn't think that it was going to be easy to get someone like hard to believe that I was no longer than man she wanted me to be and that she had to be very careful. "Oh r
Devin POV I stepped in front of the room with the best confidence that I had ever had in my entire life and it was because of this month standing in front of me acting like everything was going to be all right even when deep down I knew that after the post hide we still had to come to terms with the new reality that will be faced with. We have a person who wants to bring us down at all costs. If we are not being careful we will fall into the trap that has been set in front of us and then we would have no choice than to just go along with whatever they decide for us. I have been in this business for a long time to know that most of the time all the stupidity that was thrown around was based on the fact that people want to be like you yet they can't access that level. Aiden must have picked up on my sentiments because he raised asking a question that I didn't have answers to and for the first time in my life, I just wanted to be on my own. For the most part I had already decided wh
Devin POV "Pick up the damn call!" Stella's name pops up on my phone. Stella is stepping on my nerves. "It is either you return home or we allow the press to consume you. I don't think any of this is going to be pleasant to you but what can I say?" Her message dances over my phone screen. Anyone with their head intact will know for sure that Stella has even more sinister plans for me. She might be hurting and my family also doing the same but that doesn't mean that she has forgiven me for causing her grief. She acts as if she's in charge of making sure that she stop the unnecessary attack against my person. If I don't know better I would think that she truly has my best interest at heart but it's on a lie I'm she's looking for ways to get on my nerves even more than she has already done. "Stella get the hell away from me." She doesn't stop instead she keeps typing. "You do not deserve peace. I know that you run away because you're trying to keep your reputation in check. News
Devin POV Latest thing that I had ever come across was Aiden not caring about when anybody was going to say about him or what people thought they knew about him. It was all about how he wanted to make sure that he settled scores and left nothing out that made him stand out most of the time. If I was wise enough I would have gotten a whole lot of insight from him but I guess sometimes, it is always the other way around and we just have to find a way of making sure that we don't collapse. Aiden kept waiting for me to make a move, but I was more than less concerned about how he wanted to push things through because he seemed to have figured everything out and I was not in the business of arguing with someone who knew everything. It would do me no good whether now or later. I had also come to realize that the only difference between me and he was the fact that I was willing to put aside everything that was messing with my mind and just deal with the future but with him he wanted to s
Aiden POV My long legs extended in front of me, as I sought something different. I know that I was the one who had told Devin not to bother about body everybody was saying behind our backs but I was the most concerned about his mental health. It was something that could not be joked with. It was something that we had to be careful about to that we didn't fall into errors that was going to complicate issues. I only just wanted to have every thing to myself and make sure that I did not have anything else remaining for me to understand how long it was going to take before we finally got to the bottom of knowing what exactly we were up against and how we could just move on. I had a feeling that it wasn't going to be easy for me too get out of the mess that have already been handed over to me. If there was any difference between up to me to make sure that I settled it and left nothing to chants with me and him. Devin walked in with the best of his suits and I was more than impressed
Aiden POV "Give me the reports that I need to know. What exactly is going on and what do I need to focus on?" Our entire world had shifted from trying to understand what someone was saying behind our backs to fighting for our rights. I didn't want the issues to become more complicated as I continued with my own investigations, ensuring that I didn't overlook anything before addressing it. It was going to take a few minutes before I could get out of the stereotyping that had been imposed on me, but in the meantime, I'm also going to try to arrange things properly in a manner that won't offend anybody. I haven't been thinking about what it's going to take for me to be able to get the freedom that I want, but other than that I have other things up my sleeves. "I don't think that there's any new development that we are not already used to. People are always going to form biases based on what they think about the other person, and it doesn't necessarily need to be true; they just tel
DEVIN’S POV.My chest was already tight, like I'd been clenching my teeth in my sleep; my shoulders were stiff, my brain still replaying last night over and over, a bad recording that I couldn't seem to shut off. I expected Stella to be pissed, clingy, pushy, something-but she was weirdly calm. Too
DEVIN POVDinner was a disaster before it had even begun, and the worst part was pretending that it wasn't. The whole place felt too warm, too crowded, too loud, even though it was just the four of us. Stella kept fussing with Marcus's sleeve like she had known him her whole life, and Marcus looke
AIDEN'S POVI woke up feeling like I hadn’t slept at all, my head pounding, my chest tight, my mouth dry. I didn’t even know what time it was; I just knew Marcus wasn’t beside me. The spot beside me was warm, so he’d been there, but his stuff was gone and for a second my stomach dropped because I t
AIDEN POVBy the time I made it back to the house, my body was heavy in a way that had absolutely nothing to do with the trip. I went straight to my room, slamming the door shut much harder than I intended. I stripped out of my clothes, turned the shower on, and stood under the water until the temp
