Speaking of bridges, we got to one and we had to stop the car.

“Gomez, what's going on? Is it traffic?”

We had tinted windows so I wasn't worried that someone would pass by and look in..

“I don't know.” He got out of the car and looked up ahead. I turned around to look at Emily, hoping that she would have woken up. “Carlisle, it's a stop and search.”

My heart fell and my eyes widened as I got out of the car to look up ahead. Several teams of police stopped several cars before us, searching trunks and papers.

As we got into the car, I looked at Gomez.

“That can't be a coincidence. Today of all days?”

He nodded.

“You think they tipped the police off?”

I wouldn't be very far from the truth if I said that. I whipped out my phone and dialed only one number that could save me from this.

“Hello, Mr Commissioner. It's been a while.”
