Rein didn't lose sight of Selene in the middle of the meal, while Lyon and Lucas were busy talking. She kept an eye on her movements and eating habits, but not as closely as she had expected.

"Mrs. Armstrong, I finally met you too... Um, you're not the type of woman I expected Lyon Armstrong to marry," Rein began, as if insulting Selene. Was it because she wasn't used to wearing expensive clothes or dealing with the actions of a prominent family?

Selene had a strong suspicion that Lucas's wife disliked her, but she couldn't figure out why. But she had to concede it because of Lucas's kindness to her.

She smiled slightly and answered Rein's question, "Yes, I finally met you as well... Lucas won't tell me much about you ... but you're beautiful and you look smart personally," She replied, with a hint of resistance as well.
