Chapter 9

Selene couldn't sleep because of her husband's mood swings. She gets annoyed every time she thinks he's already worried about his every reaction and emotion, even though she wasn't worried about Lyon's every move.

She just held her chest tight as she felt her heart race. There are times when she is pleased with her husband's actions, especially when he takes care of her. They have a bad history, and their first marriage was not a happy one.

She eventually walked out of the room to get some water. She didn't want to wake up the mansion's servants any longer because she knew they were sleeping.

She went downstairs and then to the kitchen. She didn't even consider turning on some lights because she could still see the light ahead of her.

I've been living in this mansion for a year. Still, it felt strange because it took some time to get to the kitchen as the mansion grew larger.

As she moved, a strong hand grabbed her.
