Chapter 4: Out of jealousy

Selene blushed instantly, "Stop taunting me...What do you want?" she mumbled as her hands rested on Lyon's chest. She has no idea what is going on with her, but as time passes, she notices that every time Lyon comes close to her, her heart starts racing.

Lyon looked at her and signed, "We're leaving this house," he said quietly, rubbing Selene's lips gently.

Selene arched her brow as she looked Lyon in the eyes. (Hmm, is he planning something?) she wonders, shaking her head. Since she married Lyon, Selene has lived in the mansion. She was only allowed to go outside to visit her parents' grave. "Would you mind telling me where we're going?"

"I have projects outside of Cambridge, so we'll move to a house near my workplace," Lyon said softly, tightening his grip on Selene's body.

Lyon was referring to what kind of business, Selene wondered. "Do I really need to come?" she inquired. Selene was distracted when she realized her finger had already touched Lyon's chest.

Lyon responded, "You are my wife, so you must come," before claiming her lips. The kiss was brief, but its impact on Selene was serious.

What is going on with me? My heartbeat is becoming increasingly rapid... She blushed and murmured to herself.

Even though Lyon had been gone for a while, Selene was still taken aback. No! That is not possible! Selene immediately dismisses the idea that she is in love with her husband.

They left the mansion early, as Lyon stated. Selene was quiet on the road, studying her feelings for her husband.

"The rules in the last house will not change; you are not allowed to leave the house alone," Lyon says insensitively, his gaze fixed on the papers in his hand.

"Why do I need to hide? I'm sure your enemy doesn't know my appearance..." Selene responded while looking out the window.

Lyon drew Selene in closer. "I'm not asking for your opinion... All I need is for you to follow my rule!" he yelled angrily before letting go of Selene's arm.

What's going on with him now? Did I make a mistake again? she asked, puzzled by Lyon's indifference. With that remark, Selene decided to keep her mouth shut, and Lyon didn't seem to mind because he didn't speak either.

The car came to a halt in front of a house the size of Lyon's in Cambridge. The only distinction is that the yard is a little smaller.

"Where are you going? Are you leaving?" Selene wondered as Lyon remained in the car.

"I told you, I have work," Lyon said before the driver shut the door.

Selene fixed her gaze on the car, which quickly passed out of sight. "It's okay, Selene... At least you'll be at ease," she muttered as she walked inside.

Selene and Lyon have been in their new home for a week. It's also been a week since Lyon returned home, which made Selene happy.

"It's better to watch than think of nonsense..." muttered Selene as she grabbed the TV remote.

Lyon's face startled Selene as soon as the TV turned on. "What the hell?" she exclaimed. Lyon appeared on television with a well-known movie actress, which surprised Selene.

"So, this is the work he's referring to?! The bastard! I thought he was different from other men!" screamed Selene, grabbing the phone and dialing Lyon's number.

[Sorry, the number you dialed is either no longer in service or is not in our network; please try again later]

Selene's eyes widened as she exclaimed, "What! Now you're ignoring my call?!" She dials Lyon's number for the first time, but he does not answer.

"Fine! Do whatever you want!" Selene yelled angrily, leaving the TV on.

When Lyon arrived that evening, Selene was ready for a bath. The way he looks tells her he's inebriated. Perhaps he's in the arms of that famous girl on TV.  This idea inspired Selene's mind.

"Looks like your tired ... How's your work?" Selene approaches Lyon with a seductive smile.

Lyon frowned as he asked, "Why did you call? Did something happen?" Lyon was surprised to see Selene miscalled because he had not received a call from her during their time together.

"Why? Am I not allowed to call my husband?" Selene asks seductively, her hands around Lyon's neck. Selene had the courage to do this, possibly out of jealousy.

"You won't call me out of the blue... Tell me, what's wrong?" Lyon said, wrapping his arm around Selene's waist.

"I saw you on TV earlier and thought of calling you..." Selene confessed, removing her hand from Lyon's neck, but she failed when Lyon stopped her.

"Hmm, my wife decided to call me after seeing me on TV with another woman ... Is that right?"

I blush to see a smirk on Lyon's lips. He's teasing me again! With this in mind, Selene thrust her body nearer to him. "Why? Am I not allowed to disturb you?"

"Selene, don't play with me," Lyon said, staring at her lips.

"What happens if I want to play?"" Selene responds, rubbing her lips against Lyon's.

Lyon grabbed Selene by the nape and kissed her passionately; he had been restraining himself for so long, but now that Selene has made the first move, Lyon loses his mind.

Selene responded with the same excitement and eagerness.

But Selene doesn't want to kiss Lyon, so when she lets go of her lip, she leaves a space on their body.

"I'm sure you're tired," Selene advised, "so go to bed and rest..." She didn't wait for Lyon's response before turning around and going to the restroom.

"Not so quickly, my dear wife..." he murmured as he drew Selene closer to him.
