Ava's POV

I could see a man in dark suit walk in. He looked familiar. He moved closer.

I stood up immediately, trying so hard to keep my feet steady but then I felt so weak. Immediately, I fell into a familiar yet unfamiliar embrace. I struggled to open my eyes but couldn't see the person clearly.

When my eyes opened again, I found myself lying on the bed.

I closed my eyes for a moment, feeling so confused.

When I opened again, I looked around to see that I was in a room. This was Micheal's room that he never wanted me to be in.

When I tried to stand up, I realized that an IV drip was connected to my head. I removed it. I realized that I fainted earlier.

I was sweating profusely. I took a deep breath, a calming breath to think of the way forward.

I had no idea of what the future held or what being married to Michael would be like.

"You are finally awake," I heard a voice behind me. I turned and noticed an unfamiliar face.
