I stared at the building for a moment, frowning when I saw that we could have been inside that building when the bomb exploded and the fire started.

The fact that the fire was already eating the building told me that the bomb was inside, not planted outside. Meaning, whoever had planted this thing, was inside the building.

My heart raced against my ribcage, and I looked at Diablo as he walked toward the building. The man was crazy if he thought that he was going to be walking toward that place by himself. And considering the fact that no one was around him, I knew that he was going to need backup.

“Where the fuck do you think you’re going?” Diablo asked, frowning when he saw me following him. His eyes met mine for a moment, and I had to fight back the anger that I felt, knowing that he was putting his life in danger.
