Chapter 1 : Fate's Beginning

SOPHIA'S POV:

"You are nothing but a useless slut!" I can remember this clearly.It feels like it was yesterday. The chaos , the pain , everything. Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around my waist from behind pulling me close. A deep voice came from behind me. “What are you thinking so deep Moya Lyubov?”

"No wonder your mother left you alone"

"You are a curse for the Gracia family."

"You should have died along with that slut mother of yours"

These types of things I heard a lot while growing up. It’s nothing new for me. When my biological father took me in after my biological mother died I thought maybe it’s a new beginning. Maybe I don't have to live in misery anymore. A new home new family, everything. Father along with a new mother and siblings is a complete family that I wished for all the time. But it turned out to be my worst nightmare. They are nothing like I imagined they would me. My stepmother who thinks of me as a burden to the family. She shows it clearly how badly she wants to throw me away. She says I remind her of my mother. She wants to put me out but because of the good reputation of the Gracia family in society she didn’t do it. Since my father is the CEO of GRACIA LTD. A well known company in the world. And his wife , my stepmother is a housewife who spends her day spending fortunes and money. They got 3 other children. The oldest son , Hayes and the younger twins Rachel and Ryanne. The way they look at me , the hatred is palpable in those eyes. The mocking gesture and hatred every time they talk with me. Even the maids of the house treat me like a filthy person. It’s all because firstly I’m an Illegement child and secondly my mother was just a mere servant. Me along with my mother used to live in a shabby house in the countryside. Our life wasn't the best but it was going well until my mother died from sickness. I managed to finish my college thanks to the Gracia family but they didn't approve of me continuing studying. This was my life until this one fateful event happens which changes my life at 360°

It was a day like everyday . I get up in the morning , wash my face and get dressed. All my dresses were handed down from my twin sisters who're only one year older than me. After I got dressed I headed to the kitchen. It’s already 9 am in the morning. When I went to the kitchen , as usual they didn't leave any food. Well it is nothing new. They always do this. If they have leftover food i eat them most of the time. If they don’t have any then I have to starve. It's nothing new to me. I'm already used to it. After finding so much, I found two pieces of bread. I take the bread and finish eating it. Then I start to work. Since I got older, my step-mother reduced some maids since I can do all those house work instead of them. It will also save money for them. I start to mop the house. When I went to mop the common room I found all my family members gathered there. They were discussing something important. So I go close to the door and hide behind it so I can hear what they are saying.

“It’s no good. We have to think about something. Otherwise our all property and money will be taken” I can hear fathers panicked voice.

“Can’t we start another business?” My older brother suggested.

“But that will cost money and we can’t afford that right now. The company is going to be bankrupt at this rate!” Mothers voice is coming as well.

Company is going to go bankrupt?! Well father always does illegal business recklessly so I saw it coming way before. And I don’t think my brother will do any work for the company. Except sister married into a rich family which can help us.

“Well why doesn’t Rachel marry into a rich family so that they can help us? Like the Ivan company or Sokolov company?” Hayes says again.

“Are you crazy?! You know that Ivan is a Playboy. Who knows how many girls she's dating! And sokolov? Isn’t he an old geezer?! Why would I be married into such a family?!!” Rachel scoffed.

Yes, Ivan and Sokolov are one of the biggest companies in the world. Ivan is a British company where Sokolov is a Russian company. The son of the ceo of Ivan is known to be a playboy and has a very bad reputation. While on the other hand no one ever seen the face of the current CEO of Sokolov. No one knows much about him. He rarely shows his face in public. So everyone thinks that he must be some old man.

“So do you want Rachel to get married?” My brother says again.

“But I don’t want to get married now! I want to finish my study first. I don’t care about the company or whatsoever” My sister rolled her eyes back.

“Can’t someone lend us some money for now?” Mother says.

“Our reputation in society is very bad. SO no one is interested in helping us. I am thinking of selling our vacation house .” Father replied.

“Are you crazy?! NO way! Think another way. That house is my favourite!" Mother shouted.

“Well I have a new plan but first let me talk with someone first.” Father says after a few seconds as I hear the rustling sound of someone standing up.

I quickly move away from the door and run towards the other way and hide there until I am in a safe spot. If they see me they will be angry at me again.

I quickly get back to work. When I finished working it was almost lunch time. When a maid comes to my room

“Master and Mistress wants you to join for lunch today . So take a shower and wear something nice.”

After saying this she quickly leaves the room. They are asking me to join lunch? Did I do something wrong? I start to think. Otherwise they will never tell me to join for lunch. I quickly take a shower and wear the best dress I have. I am waiting for the maid to call me. After some time-

“Are you ready? Let’s go.” A maid came into my room and tells me to follow her.

I followed her to the dining room. Where I see my father, mother and siblings are there. When my mother and my sisters saw me they looked away in disgust and hatred.

I took a seat far away quietly. After a few minutes the food is served. It’s been a long time since I saw this much food and allowed myself to eat it. There were various types of fancy dishes. Everyone starts eating. I struggle so much to finish the food. There are too many cutlery which I seems not to understand.

“Seems like this filthy whore can’t eat properly” My younger twin says.

“Well what do you expect from her whose mother was a filthy whore in the first place" Mother smirk and my older sister agrees with her. I quietly try to finish my food.

“That’s enough,” My father says. Though he’s my biological father he never takes care of me. After hearing from their father, they all stop talking.

“I have something to announce. Since the company is going downhill I plan something so our company won’t get bankrupt. I’ve talked with Alexei Dè Sokolov and he has agreed to help us.” My father announced.

“That's great news honey!” Mother exclaimed .

“But in order he wants something. He wants to marry one of our daughters. And since Rachel doesn't want to get married. So it’s either Ryannne or Sophia” Father says.

“How could you think I’ll let my adorable daughter marry him?!” Mother shouted.

“I absolutely don't want that. That’s why i want to say something.” Father says.

I know where this is going.

“SOPHIA IS GOING TO MARRY ALEXEI DÈ SOKOLOV”
