Sara’s POV

I turned to see Zack standing in the doorway, his expression unreadable. I felt a flush of embarrassment and quickly tried to cover my curiosity. “I just wanted to know more about the person I’ll be living with, aside from business. It helps to understand how he is at home.”

Zack’s eyes narrowed slightly. “When you’re done with breakfast, meet me in my office.” He turned to leave but then paused, addressing Steph. “Make sure she finds her way.”

With that, he walked out, leaving me feeling even more unsettled. Aaron, who had entered with Zack, lingered for a moment.

As Zack left, Aaron lingered for a moment. “Hi, Sara,” he greeted warmly.

“Hi, Aaron,” I replied, grateful for a friendly face. “How have you been?”

“Pretty good,” he said with a smile. “How are you settling in? This place can be a bit overwhelming.”

I nodded, glancing around the kitchen. “It’s definitely a lot to take in. I’m still getting used to everything.”

Aaron chuckled. “Yeah, Zack’s pent

Sara’s POV As the kiss lingered, time seemed to blur. The world outside, with its chaos and uncertainty, fell away, leaving just the two of us in a cocoon of solace. When we finally broke apart, I looked into his eyes, searching for answers in their depths. "I didn't think it would come to this," he whispered, his breath warm against my skin. "But I need you to understand something." I nodded, sensing the gravity of his words. "What is it?" He took a deep breath, his hands gently cupping my face. "There’s more at stake here than just us. What we have—what we’re building—it's important. But it's not just about us. It's about the choices we make and how they impact everyone around us." I swallowed hard, feeling the weight of his words. "You’re right. But I don’t know if I can face it all. Not after everything that’s happened." He gave a reassuring smile, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. "We don’t have to face it alone. We have each other. And if we stand together, we

Sara’s POV After Zack’s reassuring words, I shifted away from him, suddenly remembering our ongoing conflict. My emotions were in turmoil, and I felt the need to distance myself. I moved quickly to our bedroom, leaving Zack standing in the hallway. Moments later, he followed me, his expression filled with remorse. “Sara, I’m so sorry,” he pleaded, his voice soft and sincere. “Please, let’s talk.” I turned to face him, my heart aching with a mix of love and frustration. “Zack, I don’t know if I can trust you anymore.” He stepped closer, his eyes filled with regret. “I made mistakes, and I know I hurt you. But I want to make things right.” The sincerity in his voice melted some of my anger. Slowly, I allowed him to close the distance between us. His hands cupped my face, and he kissed me gently, as if seeking my forgiveness. I responded to his kiss, feeling the passion and desperation behind it. Our lips moved together, and soon the kiss deepened, igniting a fire between

Sara’s POV I did not know when I slept off but I woke up later, feeling groggy and more irritated than ever. The events of the past few days had left me emotionally drained. My mind kept circling back to Steph’s suspicious behavior and the phone call from Nora. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. As I got up from the bed, I decided to go downstairs, hoping to clear my head. I walked into the kitchen and stopped short when I saw Steph standing by the counter, her back to me. She was on the phone, speaking in a low, conspiratorial tone. “I’ll keep an eye on her,” Steph said, her voice dripping with malice. “Yes, I’ll monitor their movements and report back to you. Don’t worry.” She let out a sinister laugh, sending a chill down my spine. My anger flared, and I took a step forward. “Steph, who are you talking to?” Steph jumped, nearly dropping her phone. She turned to face me, her expression shifting from shock to feigned innocence. “Sara! I didn’t

Sara’s POV The night felt colder than usual as I lay on the couch, my tears soaking the pillow beneath my head. The weight of Zack's betrayal pressed heavily on my heart, making it hard to breathe. The silence of the room was interrupted only by my muffled sobs. Suddenly, I felt a presence beside me. Zack knelt down, his face full of remorse. “Sara, please stop crying,” he whispered, his voice breaking. I turned away from him, not wanting him to see my vulnerability. “I thought what we had was real, Zack. I trusted you.” Zack gently placed his hand on my shoulder, his touch warm and comforting. “It is real, Sara. Please, believe me. I made a mistake, but I never meant to hurt you.” My heart ached as I listened to him, torn between wanting to forgive and the lingering pain of his lies. “How can I forgive you, Zack? You lied to me. You went to see her and didn’t tell me.” “I know, and I’m sorry. It won’t happen again. Please, don’t shut me out,” Zack pleaded, his eyes fil

Sara’s POV With that affirmation, Zack leaned in, capturing my lips in another searing kiss. This time, the urgency was tempered with a newfound tenderness, a promise of care and respect. We moved together, exploring each other with gentle touches and whispered words of affection, but Zack was careful not to push too far. As we lay together on the couch, our kisses and touches growing more heated, I suddenly pulled back, my eyes filled with uncertainty. “Zack, I… I don’t think I’m ready for this. Not yet.” Zack immediately stopped, concern and understanding in his eyes. “It’s okay, Sara. We don’t have to do anything you’re not ready for. I’m here for you, no matter what.” I felt a wave of relief wash over me at his words. “Thank you, Zack. I just… need a little more time.” He nodded, pulling me into a gentle embrace. “Take all the time you need. I’ll be here.” We spent the rest of the evening in each other’s arms, the intimacy of our connection growing deeper with each p

Sara’s POV Mary stayed close by, her presence a comforting anchor in the storm of emotions. “Sara, you need to talk to him. You need to hear his side of the story.” I nodded, knowing she was right but still feeling the sting of betrayal. “I will, Mary. I just… need a little more time.” Later that evening, Mary informed me that Zack had returned home. My mind was at suddenly at ease. I could hear his footsteps approaching the guest room. My heart pounded in my chest as he knocked on the door. “Sara, please. Let me in,” he pleaded, his voice full of anguish. I took a deep breath, steeling myself for the confrontation. “Come in.” Zack entered, his face etched with worry and exhaustion. “Sara, I swear, it’s not what it looks like.” I crossed my arms, my eyes cold. “Then explain it to me, Zack. Why were you kissing Nora? And why didn’t you come home last night? You were with her right?” He took a step closer, desperation in his eyes. “I wasn’t. She kissed me. It was a set
