Chapter 2

William's pov

This is so disgusting

If I were anywhere else I'd have already walked out, I'm simply still here out of the respect I feel for Mr Gerald and that respect seems to have been cut short because he wasn't going to be able to make it yet he didn't inform me . He didn't tell me that I'd have to be dealing with a woman when I arrive here ,he didn't mention that it'd be his daughter.

Everybody talks about how she has a knack for landing all the deals she's ever handled. How she walks around with grace and beauty and presicion but nobody says anything about how she lacks the ability to stick to freaking time. I feel Jeremy's hands on my shoulder as he pats me and tells me to relax cause I need this deal as much as they do but this young lady doesn't seem to be bothered about other peoples disposal with regards to time. Stupid spoilt rich kid.

And just like I had spoken my thoughts out loud the doors swung open and she walked in with her secretary by her side holding a stack of papers and another lady behind her. I'm pretty sure I've seen her too but I just can't remember where . Not that I was bothered though.

My brows crease as I watch her stride across the room towards the conference table in all her elegance and almost flawlessness and then my temper flares .

" We had an arranged time…you're thirty minutes late. If you had arrived on time we'd be about to end this meeting or at least half way through it."

I say still sitting and not even minding my tone as I talk . I was mistaken to think she'd remain quiet after being spoken to in such a manner

"You speak like both of us has any sort of arrangements…and I can see that you left your manners at home as you're still sitting even as I've walked in the room."

I straighten myself and my eyes go wide because she has quite an audacity to speak to me that way.

Then she gestures for Jeremy to sit and says "shall we begin."

I look to Jeremy as he takes his seat beside me and I'm not surprised to see that he finds the entire situation amusing. He's always been a fool.

It's the first time I'm happy that I don't exactly have to say too much at these kind of meetings cause for some reason I'm finding it utterly difficult to concernrate on anything

Jeremy handles the entire thing as usual and the deal is almost finalized but she prefers for her dad to be the one signing on the documents so we reschedule for another day later in the week.

Just as they leave the door I hear Jeremy start to snicker and I turn to him and ask

"What's so funny?"

And then the snickers turn into a full fledged laughter

" I'd give anything to see you have such an expression on your face again."

He says and keeps laughing. I have nothing to say to him so I just keep my gaze fixed on him. I'm pretty sure my expression has gone stoic.

"I've never seen anybody…well apart from your mom and me who can actually give you back your shit."

He laughs again …

" She totally got you speechless."

" Okay shut the fuck up that's enough. You're making this a whole lot bigger than it is "...I say

"I'm not making it a lot bigger Will… it's that big…you were totally flushed".

He laughs again

" That's enough Jeremy let's go".

Just then the doors to the conference room open and the same woman who has come in with Mr Gerald's daughter is at that door with a very wide smile

"...erm Mr William? Mr Gerald is available right now and he'd like to see you ".

I'm instantly annoyed, why hadn't he just scheduled the meeting for now? Did he really have to make his daughter attend on his behalf?

"Okay that's good".

I actually do mean that in a way because it'll save me the stress of having my schedule rearranged.
