Chapter I

Nicola's pov

I'm totally freaking out . I'm going to be meeting him again . It's been so long since I've seen him …except for that fact that he's on almost every billboard there is in this town 

I'm so not ready for this. I'm not even sure I can face him ,I'm afraid of what might happen but at the moment I don't have a choice. I already promised dad that I'm doing to attend this meeting on his behalf and I know there's no backing out now so I might as well just do it cause what's that harm right?

So why the hell am I still standing in the bathroom inside my office with my back to the door? 

I'm pretty sure that Carol must be pissed right now . Dispitw the fact that she's my secretary and she's getting paid to work for me she doesn't take my shit at all ,I know she's probably talking right now even when she knows very well that I can't hear anything she's saying through the bathroom door (that's basically why this is my favorite place in this entire building cause I can drown out every single person here).

I should probably get out now before carol goes to get Diana…individually I can handle them but together oh no…it's terrible . I open the door and step and realize that the universe just wasn't on my side today cause I'm immediately faced with a red faced super upset Carol and a 'you've got to get your shit together or I'll help you' Diana ( and frankly speaking both of those scare the shit out of me )

"Okay guys we have so let's get moving"

I say while walking to my desk acting like I hadn't just walked out of the bathroom I've been hiding in for more than ten minutes and acting oblivious to how upset they both are. 

"Really Nick? You're really doing that?"

I'm definitely not going to turn around cause I can already hear how pissed D is with me 

"What the hell is wrong with you Nick? What are you doing?"

Carol groans frustratedly and walks out of the office . Diana doesn't say anything till the doors have closed behind Carol. 

"Okay D doing this is just going to delay us even more so let's just walk out of this office and go to this meeting like regular business people attending a normal meeting "...I say with a pleading look. 

"Regular business people? You're at least fifteen minutes late and it's not an accident you're just stalling so that William leaves out of irritation and you don't have to see him. He won't even recognize you Nick . You know that "

" How sure are you D"... I give her a passive look . 

" You know what . Let's not do this D like you said I'm already late and if I don't attend this meeting…well I'm not sure what my dad will do but I know he won't like it. So let's just go already okay ."

She gives me a look like she still got things to say so I add a "please"

"Fine . After you then"

"Thank you"

I say to her as I walk out . I'm mentally wishing this is all a dream and I'll soon wake up.
