ASHINA’S POV

All I could hear was Alpha Boris saying, “Let me help you.”

Something in me cracked.

The pain came like a flash of lightning, just like he had warned me before and I believed that was why he wanted to be by my side. Our mate had to be with us during this time. It was a confirmation that he was my mate. I could feel it in my bones.

My spine arched, my fingers twisted, and the air tasted suddenly too thin. My skin felt too tight. My soul was too loud.

It started deep in my bones; a dull, grinding pressure that spread like wildfire. My vision blurred, and I gasped, stumbling back as a sudden wave of heat surged through me.
