Kelvin’s POV

The morning sun crept through the blinds, casting pale gold lines across my face, coaxing me awake before my alarm could. But I didn’t mind. My lips still held the ghost of a smile from yesterday.

I couldn’t stop thinking about her smile.

The way her eyes lit up when she unwrapped the little gift I got her. It wasn’t even expensive, just a simple $5,000 bag I saw and thought, this is Diana.

But the way she held it, like it was gold, like it mattered, made me feel like I mattered.

And she called me Kelvin.

Not Kael.

For the first time, she said my name like it was meant for me.

God, I replayed it in my head all night like a favorite song.

Skipping school today felt so tempting. School felt like a punishment. But the thought of not seeing Diana today, even for a few hours.

That ache… it hunted me.

I needed to see her. Be near her.

I grabbed my phone, my fingers moving before my thoughts caught up. I dialed.

“Hello, pretty Diana,” I said, my voice soft, hoping I didn’t soun

Kael’s POVRestlessness clawed at me, an itch beneath my skin I couldn’t scratch, no matter how hard I tried to pretend otherwise. For days, my thoughts had twisted and churned like dry leaves caught in a violent storm, all spiraling back to one person.Diana.That near kiss… how her breath hitched in that fragile, electric moment when I leaned closer. The soft, trembling parting of her lips. The invisible current crackling between us, thick as charged static right before a lightning strike. I pulled away at the last second. Since then, my wolf had known nothing but chaos, and neither had I.The silence of my bedroom grated on my nerves, a low, persistent hum under my skin. I’d paced this room so much that the carpet near the window was wearing thin. My restless footsteps echoing like a countdown to some inevitable disaster.I told myself it didn’t matter. That I could detach. That I didn’t care if she was dating Kelvin. And this spark I felt was just a cruel illusion. But the pull...

Diana’s POVThe nausea still clung to me like a second skin, a lingering souvenir from my last visit to Kelvin’s. But skipping rehearsal wasn’t an option, not with the competition breathing down our necks. Two hours. Just two hours left, and my voice had to be flawless, even if my heart wasn’t.Eva sat cross-legged on the polished wooden desk, head tilted, eyes skimming the sheet music like she was deciphering a secret language only she understood. Her brow creased in fierce concentration. God bless her heart, but Eva couldn’t sing to save her life. Today, she sounded like a violin being throttled mid-solo by an offended cat.I tried to hold it in, I really did, but the second she hit that high note like it owed her money, laugh exploded out of me in uncontrollable waves. It turned into a cough halfway through, scraping its way up my throat like sandpaper.Eva threw her hands up dramatically. “Okay, okay, get it out of your system. I’m a dancer, not Beethoven.”I covered my mouth, try

Kelvin’s POVThe afternoon air was thick, clinging to my skin like invisible cobwebs. I stood just outside the house, murmuring with one of the guards, barely listening, my mind replaying the moment my girlfriend rushed inside without me.My gut tightened. I should’ve gone in with her. I knew better.I was about to go inside when I saw him.Kael. My twin.Storming out of the house with the sharp, impatient gait of a predator. His black shoes thudded against the stone steps like war drums. A bolt of panic cracked through me, loud and fast. I made a terrible mistake letting Diana go in alone, but I had no idea he was in there. My breath caught in my throat as images flashed, Diana, wandering those dim hallways, her soft footsteps echoing through the dark... and this damn hybrid lurking like a shadow with the same face as me.Fvck! I've messed up.I hated how much we looked alike. Same black shirt, same black trousers. The only difference: I had the damned red tie knotted at my throat. I

Diana’s POVThe moment Kelvin stopped the car, I practically flung the door open, lunging out like a startled deer sensing the arrow aimed straight for its heart. The hot afternoon air hit me like a slap, sharp and urgent.“Diana, wait…” his voice trailed behind me, calm but desperate. But I didn’t stop. I was already slipping through the heavy front door, swallowed by shadows. My heart was pounding, not just from the thrill of sneaking into a house I barely understood, but from the prickling fear of being caught by his father again. The memory of last time, humiliated, desperate, scrambling through a window, burned fresh in my mind. I refused a repeat.I had to find Kelvin’s room. Simple. Or so I thought. The house was bigger than I remembered, corridors stretching endlessly like veins pulsing with secrets. Each turn growing colder and more unfamiliar than the last. The air heavy and thick with the scent of polished wood and faint perfume. The marble floor beneath my feet gleamed lik

Kael’s POVThe best damn news I’d heard all year hit me... mid-orgasm.“Alpha Kael!” George’s panicked voice shattered the air as he barged into my bedroom like the world was ending.Only the tangle of duvet and limbs between me and the door kept his eyeballs intact.I’d love to say I handled it with grace.“What the hell, George?!” I snarled, breath ragged, sweat slicking my chest as I yanked the duvet higher over both me and the brunette… no, redhead? Whatever… that I brought home from the club last night. She was currently curled under me, her lips still swollen from hours of sin and her hands possessive around my waist. She giggled beneath me, more entertained than ashamed.George stumbled back, hands raised like he was staring down at a wild animal. “Election update, sir. It’s important.”“Out!” I snapped.“But your father…”“George, I swear to the Moon Goddess…”He caught the warning in my voice and slammed the door shut in a flash, his shoes squeaking on the polished floor like

Kelvin’s POVMy phone buzzed on the nightstand with such violence it nearly launched itself into oblivion.Diana.Her name glowed on the screen like an emergency flare. I lunged for it, still half-lost in sleep, my fingers fumbling across the glass. My eyes were bleary, lids sticky with exhaustion. I hadn’t heard from her since yesterday. I’d assumed, hoped, she was resting.I answered with a hoarse, “Hey babe.”Her voice crashed through the speaker like a hurricane slamming into the coast.“Kelvin, what the hell is wrong with you?!”I sat up like I’d been electrocuted.“Diana…”“No! Don’t Diana me!” she snapped, breath shaky, voice full of barely contained tears. “How could you just stay there without me?! Like I was some disposable thing?! Why did you tell Eva to drag me home like a dog you got tired of?! Do you even care how I felt? I was humiliated, Kelvin!”The last word lacerated the air.I blinked, my heart stuttering, mind still untangling itself from sleep. The sheets were a
