“Morning” Cassandra told Ezio and I when she saw us walking out of the bedroom she told us to stay in, entering the sitting room where we saw her yesterday. The whole floor was designed as an apartment for her, and I was surprised to see that Alpha Ryker, regardless of the anger he had toward her, made sure that she was as comfortable as she possibly could be.

“Good morning” Ezio said, answering her. He kept his arm wrapped around me as we walked out of the room, mostly assuring me that things were going to be okay. The two of us could barely talk about anything last night, not wanting to risk her hearing us, or getting on her bad side.
