I've been avoiding Mr Okorie for the past two hours, this mansion was warning me off or something. I silently prayed he doesn't come into the study room till I'm gone.
"Are you hiding from my dad?" Mary asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No," I replied, laughing awkwardly.
"Why would I?" I asked.
"I don't know, I'm just assuming." She replied,
"There will be a party here tomorrow, I don't know if my father told you." she added.
I didn't reply, I just shook my head in a negative response.
"Are you in love with my dad?" she asked all of a sudden.
"What! What gave you this idea? Like, I've known your dad for how many days now."
She just stared at me without saying another word.
"You know what? Lets just resume today's work." I said, breaking off the silence.
