The following day, she woke up with a headache. She looked at her side to see Azazel asleep. He looked silent, almost like a human, almost harmless, but whom was she kidding? He was the most dangerous of them all. She doesn’t know what he did for work or his life purpose. All she knew was to stay away from him, but how was she supposed to? Athena’s breath winded, Azazel looked like a demon, but the calmness didn’t fool her as she knew what he was capable of. She didn’t want to get caught in the crossfire. Azazel reached the restaurant where he was supposed to meet Sophie. The girl was already waiting for him. As soon as Azazel stepped in, Sophie ran, hugging him. Athena Chapter 26- Dark Desires
Azazel returned home late that night, and his guards bowed to him as soon as he stepped outside the car. He needed her because his head was in some places. He loved returning home these days since a particular object of his desires was residing there. He hated coming home to the States, as his bed was cold, and nights were lonely. Sure, he had been to clubs, fucked countless women to ease his ache of not being inside her slick walls, but not anymore. He could come home now, and she will be waiting for him. He knew Athena must be asleep; from what he understood, she was a go-to-bed early type of girl. He was always used to a quiet house. That is how he kept it back in the States, but now, he loved watching her sleep. He might be called a creep, but watching her brought him peace, a peace he would never have in waking life. After a long, exhausting day, her face was what provided him relief. He walked up to her room, he touched the knob to twist it, but it seemed like she locked it.

Azazel was in his office when Tristan walked in. He threw some papers on his brother’s desk. He raised his eyebrow in a question. “I told you we would find nothing from that text,” Tristan gloated, “Those were sent to a burner phone,” Tristan confirmed further. Azazel didn’t accept that he was wrong. Instead, he changed the topic, “How is Mom, Tris?"“Same condition, no improvement,” Tristan answered, settling in the seat before his brother. “Hmm,” Azazel sighed.“We have a meeting with the Germans in an hour,” Tristan answered, straightening his suit jacket. Athena’s blood froze at sight, she didn’t expect him to pull this stunt, and before she could say anything, she collapsed on the floor. She felt a cold liquid seep through her veins, she tried getting up, wanting to run away, but her body didn’t want to cooperate. It was as if she was being sent into an induced shock. Azazel put the gun back in his car. The dart stuck in her neck seemed to pump liquid in lower concentrations. Her eyes got heavy, and she was fighting hard against the diazepam flowing through her system, but the drug’s effects were stronger than her willpower.
