Chapter 20- Panic attack

As soon his eyes drank her figure, his feet took him in her direction. His Italian loafers made no sound on the wooden floor, he had the stealth of a tiger. He was silent as the night. Athena sat on the windowsill, her eyes closed, unknowing of the approaching predator. He knew she was in a deep sleep; there was no pain in them; serenity was apparent on her face, so silent and beautiful. This was a different expression than she had last night. She didn’t sense his presence, which was a good thing. He can see her as much as he wants now.

He walked closer, so close to feeling her; the gentle breeze blew on her face. The wind played with her delicate features; her lashes fluttered, casting a shadow on her occipital area. The lashes were too thick, like a curtain hiding sunlight from falling inside, and her plum lips chapped due to her continuous licking; he traced his fingers lightly on it, and a small smile donned his face.
