ASLAN’S POV
“Do you have to go, Aslan?”
“Aurora is like my sister. I had left blood only to last her a month. I have to go and meet her.”
“But, You promised to stay by my side,” Zarina said with teary eyes.
“I am just going to meet Aurora. I am not going to stay with Tyson.” I explained, placing my hand on her shoulder.
“What if he tries to keep you there by force?”
”I will use this locket to teleport back.” I said smiling.
“I don’t have a good feeling about this, Aslan…”
Damn! This girl was persistent. She didn’t expect me to stay with her like a prisoner, did she?
Her face fell and she said in a low voice, “I never wanted you to feel like that brother.”
I let out a deep sigh. This was the problem when you are living with a witch sister. You can’t even think freely. I was
CALEB’S POV “You have to decide quickly Caleb. The Dark Lord is getting restless by the day. He has left a reminder for you.” Meredith said entering with a huge box.I took the box from her and opened it with trembling hands only to shut it back quickly.“What’s inside?” Meredith asked, opening the lid of the box but I grabbed her hand and shook my head, and whispered, “Vondur…”“No!! How can he do that?” Meredith said massaging her head.Exhaling deeply, I said, “He is famous for his ruthlessness…”“Does that mean we have no choice in this matter?”“Don’t worry! I will think of a way…” I reassured her but the fact was that I was stuck with him unless a better choice presented itself before me.“Alpha Caleb, Ummm….”“Speak up! I don’t have all da
AURORA’S POV I gasped for air as the clenching sensation in my lungs magnified. I tried to kick and thrash but my body remained suspended in the air.My head hurt so much that it was difficult to form even a single coherent thought. My body felt drained of power and my lips were chapped due to dehydration. In my haze, I sensed a few drops of liquid drip on my lips. I ran my tongue around my lips and gulped the saliva that formed in my dry mouth greedily. I don’t know what the liquid was but my mind cleared instantly. Cracking open my eyes, I saw Logan standing in front of me. I tried to smile but it was like all the muscles of my face were locked in place. His eyes darted across the room warily. Once he was sure we were alone, he moved closer and whispered into my ears, “The only way to escape this place is to find which object represents you.”I was trying to process what he said when I
AURORA’S POV I couldn’t have imagined such a death even in my darkest fantasy; suspended in the air, surrounded by candles with weird fragrance. My death meant the return of someone very evil. It also meant the death of my little girl. I tried to use my magic but it was all in vain.My body was drained of all strength. Despair had taken root in my heart and had grown like Cuscuta engulfing my heart; draining it of the tiniest bit of hope that was left.I was on the verge of giving up when Tyson and Caleb appeared before me, I was sure that it was just an illusion. So, I didn’t bother to respond and closed my eyes.A few drops of warm liquid dripped on my face. My eyes snapped open, hoping that Logan had found some way to save me.My eyes met copper brown ones instead of the blue ones. Bloody Hell! Tyson was here for real.He caressed my forehead and croaked out, “I thought I had lost you
ASLAN’S POV “You should have gone with them. How will I find out where they are and how they are?” Zarina said with a scowl.“Sister, didn’t you say that you hate our brother? Why are you worried about his whereabouts?”“I am not worried about him Damit! I am worried that my plan will be ruined by them.”She already had plotted something? During my stay at her place, I figured out that Zarina was very cunning and secretive. If I wanted her to share her secrets with me, she had to believe that I was dedicated to her. I had trained myself to control my reactions around her.“Psst! Shall I tell you a secret?” She said leaning closer.I raised my head and looked at her expectantly. Her eyes were aglow with such cunning determination that I was taken aback.“Today we will meet our mother again.”“Are you alright, Zarina? I know you have b
ASLAN’S POV“Cheers!!” Zarina said raising her goblet. She was in an extraordinarily good mood.My heart sank every time she talked about Aurora getting killed. In the end, I couldn’t take it anymore and jumped out of my seat.I almost spat out a snide remark when she raised her eyebrows but I managed to compose myself and said, “Zarina, I will just go for a walk and come.”She eyed me suspiciously but didn’t say anything. I had just opened the door when I saw the most alluring sight. A huge Golden dragon was alighting on the ground. What was more some people were seated on his back?My heart fluttered and ran as fast as I could. By the time, I reached the clearing Tyson had taken his human form.I let out the breath I was holding when I saw Aurora standing next to him. I pulled her in a hug and croaked out, “I died a hundred times thinking that something happened to you.
AURORA’S POV I moaned as the cold water cascading down my body; draining me of all the weariness. It washed away the grime, dirt, and sand.Unfortunately, it couldn’t wash away my memories. The past two months were ingrained so deeply that I wouldn’t forget even if I got Alzheimer's.I waved my hands in the air and let a small breeze swirl the drops of water around like a tiny whirlwind. It mirrored my mind which was swirling with millions of thoughts and emotions.I needed a break… I wanted to escape to a lonely place but I was scared of getting caught up in a bigger mess. The water fell on the floor with a splash as I lost my concentration. While I was dressing up, I heard footsteps outside my room. Thanks to my witchy hearing, I overheard about some mass killing.“ I am going to ignore the fact that about a hundred people are going to be massacred. I didn’t hear it… I don&rsquo
AURORA’S POVWhen the spinning sensation ended, I found myself in a dark alley. I had forgotten to visualize the place where I wanted to be. As a result, I had teleported to a random location.Letting out a deep sigh, I walked in the only direction I could see light coming from. It led me to a huge two-storeyed building. The strong pungent stench of alcohol indicated that it was a nightclub. It was a pity I couldn’t drink.I was about to leave but a blood-curdling scream made me stop dead in my tracks. Venturing inside I saw a young boy of about twelve being bullied by a group of strangers. The boy’s face was pale and his body was trembling. The man in the center looked at him with distaste and said. “Is this the way a man should behave? If someone tries to pick on you, you should know how to retaliate. Come fight me.”Was this man addled? How could a young, weak boy stand against his muscular, large f
AURORA’S POV I paced up and down the room, wringing my hands, glaring at Aslan every few seconds. That idiot had declared me as the Queen of Dragons… What was he even thinking?“Can you please slow down… My head has started throbbing.” Aslan said massaging his head.I stood right in front of him and gritted out, “Serves you right! If you hadn’t saved my life I would have used my magic and turned you into a mouse and put you in one of those boxes we get… you know the ones in which the rat keeps running one a wheel…”“Calm down Little Witch… I just announced the truth…” His face turned pale and stopped talking suddenly.“What did you just say?”“Ummm… nothing…” He said looking away.He was hiding something from me and I intended to get it out of him. I used my power and suspended against
