CALEB’S POV

It broke me to see Aurora crying like this. I was tempted to attack those vile flamers and teach them a lesson but Aurora needed me.

“I think some dreams do come true. I wanted to hug you, from the day you saved me…”

Her words turned my heart into mush. I tightened my grasp around her and said, “ You don’t have to go there ever again. We have Aslan, so we can keep giving you his blood.”

“But, Caleb…” She started saying something but I placed my finger on her lips. I didn’t want her to worry about technical details.

My head was buried in her shoulder and her phone was in the back pocket of her jeans. So, when her phone buzzed I was the first to see the notification.

Aurora didn’t seem to have noticed the beep. I took out the phone to give it to her but halted when I saw Tyson’s name.
