Chapter 6

"I forgot my purse, only remembered when I alighted from the car, so I just ha..." Alice stopped explaining on spotting Rita folding some clothes.

"What were they doing behind the doors? I really pray she hasn't said a word to Aurora, if not I'm dead. I need to find out what she is doing here." She thought, and faced Rita.

"Why are you here?." She asked her with a deep frown, fear gripped her. "Can Aurora save me from her?." 

"I called her in to arrange my clothes, moreover, I want to make her my personal maid, she is such a good girl." Aurora praised her with a smile on her lips. 

"Are you tired of me? Why are you choosing a personal maid when I have been the only one taking care of your things, I'm I not doing things the right way? Or is there something I have done to you?." Alice questioned, she looked at her with a lot of sadness. 

"I'm going to start breaking the bonds between us slowly to avoid what happened the last time." She thought.

"You ve been so forgetful these days, I thought the work might be too much that's why I assigned her. At least, you can rest well." Aurora explained calmly.

Rita saw the innocent smile on Aurora's face. "Why is she so calm with her? I would have told the guards to seize and punish her severely, finally, she would be banished from this pack, the news of what she did would be spread across to other packs. But she is not doing any of that? Is she doing this for me?." 

"You can leave." Alice's voice resounded in her brain, she jolted off her thoughts, dropped the clothes she was folding and headed out.

"You know I care so much about you and I can't let a total stranger start taking care of your needs when I'm here." She urged. 

"You are my friend not my maid, just let it go because no matter how hard you try to persuade me, I'm sorry I won't be able to change my decision." Aurora said authoritatively, she picked up her purse. "Here it is, you can go now." She stretched out to her, Alice angrily snatched the purse from her and slammed the door while going out.

Aurora bursted into boisterous laughter, "I'm just getting started with you." 

"How long will I continue to keep this in? I need to inform someone before I go crazy thinking about it every second." Aurora muttered and sighed out, she walked into her father's chamber, stopped as she was half way in. "What is Alice discussing with my Dad?." She asked herself, staring at them for some seconds before deciding to move closer to them.

"Good day Dad." 

"Why did you shove her off? She has been the one doing everything and protecting you for years, why?." Alpha Ralph queried her, furrowing his brows.

Rages filled her up immediately, she faced Alice.

"How dare you report me to my Dad? I gave you reasons why I did that, and the best thing you could do was to report me? I'm disappointed, I don't want to see you anywhere close to me ever again." Aurora vented all the anger she has been harbouring for the past few days on her. 

Alice and Alpha Ralph were shocked at her outburst. "Has she done anything wrong?." He asked, Aurora rolled her eyes at Alice and walked out on them, Alice fell on her knees and held onto his leg.

"I shouldn't have told you, it should have been a secret between us, I f**ked up. Please help me plead with her. I promise not to do anything like that again." She pleaded tearfully.

"I will talk to her later, let's just give her some time to get herself together." Alpha Ralph said. "Thank you Alpha." She appreciated, bowed and walked out.

She wiped off her tears and scoffed. "I need to find my way around here, she must forgive me, I can't let anything go wrong at any point, wh..." She stopped thinking, on spotting Rita approaching her, she made sure nobody was around that place, then she grabbed Rita's hand and twisted it to the back, she trembled.

"Did you tell her anything?." She asked in a low but harsh voice.

"No Ma'am, I won't even dare say a word to her about it." 

"If I find out you are behind this, then I won't spare you." She threatened, pushed her and walked off.

Aurora paced to and fro of her room, tears falling off her eyes. "How can my Dad support my greatest enemy... I need to tell him before she does something dangerous." 

She was interrupted by a knock. "Who is it?." She argued sighing out.

"Can I come in?." She recognised the voice already, and rolled her eyes. "You can come in Dad." She permitted and sat on the bed effortlessly.

He opened the door, stepped in, closed the door behind him and sat with her on the bed. "What are you hiding from us? You ve been behaving differently ever since you woke up from a coma." He questioned in a calm and soft voice.

"Dad, Alice is no..." She stopped as a strong headache hit her, she held onto her head and groaned.

"No one must know what happened in your past life." Mia informed her, immediately the headache vanished.

"Are you okay?." Alpha Ralph asked worriedly.

"This headache started yesterday, I haven't been able to get it healed from it." She lied.

"I will send the doctor to check you out."

"Don't worry Dad, I just need to rest, then I will be fine. Trust me on this." She assured, He leaned closer and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "I love you so much, Rora." He said, with a withered smile.

"I love you so much that I won't allow Alice and Daxton kill you this time around." She thought.
