SELENA’s POV.

I kept pacing the room, back and forth, unable to quiet the storm in my head.

No matter how many times I replayed it, I still couldn’t fully grasp what I’d learned about Kourtney. She had known. She had known why people were being killed—and she had chosen to pretend otherwise. I’d always believed her capable of cruelty, but this… this was something darker. Calculated. Deliberate. Wicked in its purest form.

A soft knock pulled me from my thoughts. The door opened before I could answer.

Aiden stood there.

He wore a smile—polite, composed—but I knew him well enough now to see the tension beneath it. The Alpha King never truly relaxed unless he allowed himself to.

“Hey,” I said, quickly schooling my expression. “You’re back.”

“Hm.” He nodded. “I returned a while ago. I wanted to shower first before coming to see you.”

He stepped closer, stopping in front of me. “How did it go?” I asked quietly. “The meeting?”

“Let’s not talk about that.” His hand slid around my waist, firm

AIDEN’s POV.I groaned softly as Selena snaked her hand around me and deepened the kiss. I pressed closer to her, our bodies almost touching. The softness of her lips, the warmth of her body against mine. I was about to lose all senses of balance left inside of me. I have imagined kissing her a lot of times but it still doesn’t do justice when I actually kiss her. She makes me feel a whole lot of things at the same time.I pried open her mouth and slid my tongue into her mouth, she didn’t push me away, she opened up for me giving me permission to take her.“Fuck” I groaned as I slightly pulled away from her but my hands were still wrapped around her protectively like k was scared she would disappear if I let go of her.My gaze dropped to her lips and I moaned softly—that looked slightly swollen and I loved it.“Why did you stop?” She asked gently, her eyes searching mine for an answer.“You don’t want me to stop?” I asked, a small smirk lingering on my lips, “hmmm?”“I didn’t say that

DAMIAN’s POV. I sat in a daze for the remaining part of the meeting. The doctor’s words were still ringing in my head. He said her pregnancy was two weeks before everything started. That could only mean the baby belonged to me but why did he lie? He told me Selena got pregnant recently and she didn’t say anything to counter that. She let me believe that the baby belonged to either Dominic or Aiden. I couldn’t even think straight as I sat there, watching her walk out of the hall. That was how I sat until the meeting was finally over. I didn’t hear a single word that followed. It wasn’t until Marcus spoke that I finally snapped back.“We are done, Alpha.”I looked up.Most of the elders had already risen. Aiden, however, remained seated, speaking quietly with Pete, utterly composed. As if nothing had happened. As if my world hadn’t just collapsed.Without thinking, I stood and walked toward him.Aiden lifted his gaze the moment I reached him. He didn’t stand. He didn’t speak. He si

KOURTNEY’s POV. Half an hour ago. I was seated in the car just like Damian told me to. All my plans went down the drain because I couldn’t get into the meeting venue and I hated the fact that this stupid dead body was in the boot of the car. I hated Selena even more after everything she had done, making me look like a fool in front of everyone but I hated Damian even more. The fact that he saw her and all his senses immediately disappeared infuriated me. He saw her and suddenly he couldn’t think about anything else. That was something I was not going to forgive and I am going to make sure of that. I was lost in thought when someone knocked on my door and I looked up to see a hooded figure standing by the front. For a few seconds, I didn’t move and he didn’t move either. He knocked again, he wanted me to open the door but I kept staring at the figure. I couldn’t make out the face and that was more than enough reason for me to not open the door. “Open the door” a familiar voice rea

SELENA’s POV. The main problem with Damian was the fact that he couldn’t see beyond his nose. He thought everything was as it seems and I hated that part of him so much. Everything about him today gave me the ick. The fact that he couldn’t stick to simple instructions of not coming with Kourtney and following me to the bathroom made me so upset. Even Marcus was not left out. The nerve of him to actually send me that kind of a message. What kind of vibe do I give off for the two of them to think I was the same Selena they knew months ago. The more I thought about it, the more it didn't make any perfect sense but one thing was for sure. I was healed enough now. I didn’t feel bad when I saw him, my heart didn’t skip. I just felt numb to him and even if that was the only thing I could brag about now, I was excited. “Watch where you are going” a voice called in front of me and I jolted out of my thoughts, only to raise my head and Marcus leaning against the wall. What the actual fuck? I

DAMIAN’s POV. Throughout the meeting, I didn’t say a word. Anger was boiling inside of me but I kept my cool. He slapped me, that was something I was never going to forgive no matter what. But that was for me to know and for him to find out. My attention was not even on the meeting, my attention was on the woman beside him. I haven’t been able to take my eyes off of her since the moment I saw her mostly because I was upset with her. The fact that she didn’t even feel remorseful when I saw her kissing Aiden. I never imagined her to be that kind of a person. All my life; I have always thought about Selena to be disciplined and cool but right now—I didn’t even know what to think anymore. She was everything I never thought she would be and it was annoying that she couldn’t even see that. She couldn’t see the way I was hurting. The woman beside Aiden used to care for me so much, I used to be the reason why she lived but now— “Alpha” Marcus called beside me and I finally turned my head a
