DAMIAN’s POV.

I held onto her arm—not to hurt her, but because I didn’t trust myself enough to let go.

Or maybe I didn’t trust her.

Selena knew me too well, knew exactly which wounds to touch, and right now every one of them was exposed.

“What did you say?” My voice was low, unsteady for the first time in a long while.

“You heard me.”

Her eyes flashed—pain, not defiance.

“Do what you want to me, Damian. But if anything happens to my baby, I will never forgive you.”

The words hit harder than any physical blow.

She wasn’t trying to manipulate me. She meant every syllable.

I should have stopped then. I should have walked away.

Instead, anger swallowed the space between us.

I turned toward the hall. “The luna,” I announced, my voice ringing through the crowd, “is carrying another man’s child.”

A ripple of shock spread across the room.

Faces fell. Others filled with disbelief—pain, even.

She had earned their respect over the years. She had earned mine too.
