Thank the goddess that I knew better than to stay in one place for too long!

I put my new apartment into my mother’s name, knowing no one would be looking for or keeping an eye on my mother and what she was doing.

Alpha Dickovan hardly ever gave my mother the time of day, except when we were in front of others. He treated her like shit behind closed doors but pretended to dote on her in front of everyone just to show off how beautiful his Luna was to make other alphas jealous.

Mom never hid that fact from me. She wanted me to always see him for what he was, even if she couldn’t change our circumstances.
