Kiara’s POV

My throat felt dry, and no matter how many times I forced myself to push saliva down my throat, it didn't exactly do much. No, scratch that, it didn't do anything at all. My throat and every where else was as dry as the desert, and the only thing that could fill me up with even the tiniest bit of wetness, was Darius.

He was still standing over me,but I didn't miss how dark his eyes had gone. They trailed down the line in between my breasts, down my stomach, before stopping at my core. My pussy pulsed with a rhythm tugging at me, a rhythm that only he could match, and I was this close to begging him for it.

“After everything.” He sunk to his knees. “From the bathroom and back here again, you're still dripping wet.”

I wanted to speak, but I couldn't. What was I going to say?? There was nothing I could say that wouldn't expose the truth. I wanted him, over and over again.

His hands dug into my thighs, holding me in place, pans slowly he trailed the outline of his nos

kiara's povKiara?” Darius called softly, and I jerked my head in the direction the sound had come from. “Are you okay? You're staring at your plate like you saw something you're allergic to.”“Oh.” I muttered, not knowing what else to say. “I'm fine. I just don't think I'm that hungry, and I also didn't expect breakfast in bed either.” I picked at the plate, before he could say anything else. I even made sure to stuff my face with the nearest pancakes, but ur barely slid down my throat because it tasted like rocks. Darius sat across from me on the bed, shirtless and annoyingly gorgeous, casually biting into a piece of bacon like we hadn’t nearly died yesterday, like he hadn't eaten me out against the wall like some hungry animal, like he hadn't fucked me senseless, kike someone hadn’t just thrown a knife at me last night.Like nothing was wrong.“Kiara.” I wasn't sure how many minutes had passed, but he nudged my foot with his under the blanket. “You’re quiet.”“You don't say?”I ga

  • Awakening the White Wolf   Chapter 146

139Kiara's POV The corridor was still damp from last night’s rain. Moonlight filtered in through the cracks in the stone wall, glinting off my boots as I moved silently toward the spot I'd seen the guard speaking in hushed tones to the figure in the shadows.I had no idea what I was thinking when I suddenly found the strength and resilience do this, but there was one thing I knew for a fact. Since, I'd already gotten myself to this point, I might as well go through with it. The hallway was pitch black, and with each step I took towards my destination, I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched. It'd started the moment I snuck out of my room. A small part of me had already cooked up the list of excuses I was going to give my new guard if he dared to ask me any questions, but luckily I didn't need them. Why? He was nowhere to be found. It had rubbed off on me the wrong way earlier, but now, all I could think to myself was how much of a blessing his absence had been. If he'

  • Awakening the White Wolf   Chapter 145

137Kiara's POV I honestly thought my troubles were over, or more importantly, I was slowly becoming the moon goddess least favorite pawn to play with. One would think that with the number of things that had happened to me in the span of three days, that the goddess had her her fill and had now decided to move to someone else. Those were my exacts thoughts too, but I was slowly coming to learn that she was barely done with me, and I was in for a longer and more gruesome ride than I least expected. Shit. How I'd managed to fall asleep and what not, I had no idea. It also didn't help that nightmared plagued my dreams and I woke up sweating to each and every one of them. I'd barely managed to go back to bed, before something caught my attention again. For the umpteenth time tonight, a small sound reached my eyes and I jerked awake immediately. Thanks to my heart thumping wildly in my chest, it made it a tad bit harder to realize where the noise had originally come from. After wh

  • Awakening the White Wolf   Chapter 144

Kiara’s POV Time seemed to slow to a halt, and for the next couple of seconds, the only thing I could wrap my head around was the fact that Darius' lips was pressed against mine. I had no idea how much time had passed between us while we locked lips, but best believe I couldn't get enough of him, and vice versa. At one point, he pulled back, probably to catch his breath it what now, but I surged forward and kissed him again, harder this time. He groaned, grabbing my waist, whilst yanking me up against him like he’d been waiting years for this. My back hit the wal one more timel and I gasped, his hands finding the backs of my thighs and lifting me. I wrapped my legs around his waist on instinct, grinding against him shamelessly as our tongues clashed. “You’re going to be the death of me,” he muttered against my lips. “Would you like that?” “Then die,” I whispered, biting his bottom lip before dragging it between my teeth. “Very much. I can already imagine the headlines.” His gro

  • Awakening the White Wolf   Chapter 143

Kiara's POV By the time we got back to the palace, the fire in my chest had dulled to a simmering ache. My head on the other hand wasn't left out. A dull throb had formed at the back of my skull, and if they could do a scan on my brain right now, I wouldn't be surprised if they found a lively band of monkeys playing all sort of pop and rock songs in my brain. My limbs were aching, from every bone I could feel, down to even the joints in my toes. I was exhausted simply put, but I couldn't figure out why I hadn't felt that way in the cell, but now I was close to home. My feet moved on their own, eager for the comfort of solitude, my own bed, and silence. Sleeping wasn't going to solve my problems or magically remove the bounty the council has unanimously placed on my head, but at least it was going to give me solitude and peace, if my nightmares didn't ruin it for me that Is. A small smile made its way to my lips when we reached the foyer. From here, I could already make out the

  • Awakening the White Wolf   Chapter 142

Kiara's POV I wasn’t sure how long I'd had been sitting here, but the slight ache in my spine was all the indication I needed to know that I'd been in here for a while. The stone beneath me was cold, but I'd grown numb to it. My arms were drawn tight around my knees, with my chin pressed to the fabric of my dress. Since there was nothing else to stare around, I found my eyes fixed on the tiny barred slot where light had long since faded. My body ached, not from physical wounds, but from the sharp betrayal clinging to every thought. I'd had fallen into their trap, played like a pawn in a game I hadn’t even known I was a part of. Just hours ago, I honestly thought someone was coming. I'd heard the footsteps, and whether this made me sound crazy or not, I'd even heard someone's muffled breathing inching closer, but just when I thought help was finally coming, the moon goddess just had to rip me off the little hope I thought I would be getting. Like the moon goddess still wanted to pl
