Chapter Nine

His patience lay thin as he tapped his shoes on the marble floor of the luxurious office cubicle in which his secretary was narrating his schedule for tomorrow. Elio's head rested on his chair as he looked up at the ceiling.

His attention was not on his secretary nor did he bother to listen to him. He merely stared up at the ceiling portraying her figure, her face, kindness, and fierceness. Her entirety was making him feel detrimental.

As if he wanted to harm that creature in his clutches right now. The innocence she had and the way she put her fighting skills to use was making him lose his mind and he could not grasp the reality of how someone like her could exist.

Such an angel, so pure yet so dangerous.

"Why would she wear a scarf?" Elio asked, his eyes fixated on the ceiling.

His secretary looked at him. "Because she is a Muslim, sir. Grey gave you this information before. She is quiet on the religious side." He said.
