Chapter 33: It’s all your fault

Rose cursed continuously as she drove her car through the busy streets of NYC.

She just couldn’t get Derek’s words out of her head. “How dare he ask me out? How dare he feel he still has a place in my heart?” She cursed continuously, her left hand fisted in anger and her heart racing with the stirring of her car.

“How brazen of him to think he can still win me over after all he did to me,” she lamented on.

“Like, for Christ’s sake, I would have been a dead person by now if only Dave didn’t save me. Maybe then he would have come to my grave and asked me to be his wife,” she hissed and hit her steering wheel angrily.

“I hate you, Derek. I hate you for always thinking you can have your way with me. I hate you for always thinking you can have anything you want,” she stuttered in great dismay.

Her words trailed off when the ringing of her phone alerted her of an incoming call.
