Night settled heavily over Westharrow, deeper and darker than it usually was. The lights outside Fable’s Bar flickered as the last customers drifted out, their voices fading into the hum of distant traffic. Inside the bar, the atmosphere shifted from casual busyness to a sharp quiet, the kind that carried secrets, tension, and something unspoken.

The door clicked locked....Rose just left and the bartender....Lana....exhaled loudly as she wiped her hands on her apron.

The bar is owned by a vampire general in disguise in the human realm

“She finally left,” she muttered.

Behind her, two waitresses, vampires exchanged looks, unsure whether to sit or keep pretending to clean. The air still felt strange, almost charged.

“Are you sure we’re doing the right thing?” one of them whispered.

Lana didn’t look at her. “You smelled it too.”

The other girl swallowed and nodded.

It wasn’t a scent any of them recognized. And in a world where scent meant identity...vampire, demon, werewolf, human....something that didn’t fit into any category was naturally alarming.

Lana turned toward the backroom door.

“Let him know I’m coming,” she said.

The two waitresses didn’t argue. They disappeared through the hallway, leaving Lana standing alone behind the counter. She rubbed her arms as if trying to get rid of the faint trace that lingered in the air.

The girl who sat at the bar earlier… that scent clung to the room like something stubborn. Not unpleasant. Not dangerous. But wrong. Completely wrong.

Lana took a deep breath and followed the waitresses into the back hallway....straight to the room that only opened for one man.

---

The door clicked open, and a deep voice immediately filled the room.

“Someone better have a good reason for disturbing me tonight.”

General Therin didn’t like being bothered. .

In fact, he hated it.

But owning a bar in the human world required dealing with humans… and now something that wasn’t human at all.

Lana bowed her head slightly as she entered. Despite working for him for years, her body still reacted with instinctive fear. Therin sat behind a large wooden desk, long fingers tapping rhythmically, red eyes glowing faintly in the dim room. His presence filled the space....calm, calculated, powerful.

“Speak,” he said.

Lana steadied herself.

“We had a… visitor tonight.”

Therin raised one eyebrow. “What type of human?”

“That’s the thing. She looked human but she didn’t smell human. Or vampire. Or wolf. And definitely not demon.”

Therin leaned forward, curiosity replacing boredom.

“Describe the scent.”

Lana tried, even though the words felt difficult. “It wasn’t offensive. Just… wrong. Like it didn’t belong to any world. Like it was mixed from too many things, but still none of those things. I can’t explain it.”

Therin sat silently, absorbing every word. The waitresses shifted nervously behind Lana.

“And she was alone?” Therin asked.

“Yes, General.”

“And she left already?”

“Just a few minutes ago.”

Therin’s eyes glowed brighter. “And you’re certain none of you have ever smelled anything like it?”

All three women shook their heads.

Therin stood slowly from his chair. The movement alone made the air feel colder.

“That scent doesn’t exist,” he said, voice low. “Not unless…”

He stopped himself.

The women exchanged uneasy glances.

“…Not unless what, General?” one of them dared to ask.

Therin brushed past them, heading toward the door.

“I need to confirm something.”

He didn’t elaborate, and they knew better than to press him. Lana followed behind him, her heart thudding.

---

They stepped into the bar area again. Therin inhaled deeply, letting his senses stretch across the room.

The scent was faint but still there....like a trail that refused to disappear.

And yes, it was strange. It was everything and nothing. Familiar and unfamiliar. Soft but powerful. Wrong but… important.

Therin frowned.

“She’s not one of ours,” he said quietly. “Not a hybrid. Not a breed. Not cursed. Not marked.”

“Then what is she?” one waitress whispered.

Therin didn’t answer.

Because he didn’t know.

And that made it dangerous.

He walked toward the door, placed a hand on it, then turned to the three women behind him.

“Tell me exactly how she behaved.”

Lana nodded quickly. “She came in alone. Ordered a drink. She looked… sad. Like she was trying to drown something in her head. But she wasn’t drunk. Then she noticed us staring. She left angry.”

The waitress beside her added, “General… she didn’t talk to anyone. She didn’t act strange.”

Therin nodded slowly.

“So only her scent was strange.”

“Yes,” they all agreed.

Therin exhaled sharply. “Then she’s not an immediate threat. But she is an anomaly. And anomalies,” his eyes narrowed, “never exist without purpose.”

The room fell silent.

Therin stepped away from the door, hands clasped behind his back.

“Find out where she lives.”

The women stiffened.

Lana blinked. “General, you mean.....”

“Track her. Quietly. Carefully. No confrontations. No suspicion.”

“But why?” one waitress whispered.

Therin looked at her, expression unreadable.

“Anything that doesn’t smell like it belongs in this world is either a danger… not normal.”

None of them spoke. They knew what that meant.

Not normal shifted wars.

Not normal changed destinies.

Keys unlocked things that should never be opened.

Therin moved back toward his private room, but before closing the door, he said:

“She is not human. She is something else. Find her. And when you do....inform me immediately.”

“Yes, General.”

The door shut behind him.

---

Outside, the night deepened. The air chilling, trees swaying slightly under the weight of something unseen. Westharrow wasn’t a city of magic, not openly. But it had its shadows....its quiet politics, its hidden creatures, its invisible lines of power.

And tonight, something crossed those lines without knowing.

Rose.

She walked home unaware of the conversation that had just unfolded about her. Unaware of the eyes that watched her leave. Unaware that her “weird scent” wasn’t fading with the wind but instead marking her path like a trail no vampire could ignore.

And in another part of the city, General Therin sat alone in his room, fingers tapping lightly on the table again.

“There is no creature in history with a scent like that…” he murmured.

He wasn’t old for just any general....he was one of the few who had lived through centuries of war, evolution, and supernatural shifts. He had seen werewolves come and go, cursed humans rise and fall, demonic disasters erased, and vampire lines wiped out.

But he had never smelled anything like Rose.

“Not human,” he whispered.

Not vampire.

Not wolf.

Not demon.

And the one category left was too impossible to even consider… too dangerous to speak aloud.

He wouldn’t jump to conclusions.

Not yet.

“Find her,” he repeated to himself.

Because if his suspicion was even half right…

the girl who walked into his bar tonight wasn’t just an anomaly.

She was a threat.

Or worse....

A prophecy he hoped would never come true.

---

Meanwhile, Lana gathered the two waitresses in the back hallway.

“We start tomorrow morning,” she said quietly. “She couldn’t have gone far. She’s new in town.”

The girls nodded nervously.

“What if she’s dangerous?” one whispered.

Lana shook her head. “Then the General will deal with her.”

“And what if she’s not dangerous?”

Lana hesitated.

“…Then that might be worse.”

Because if something powerful existed and didn’t know it…

that made it unpredictable.

Unpredictable creatures were the ones legends warned about.....not monsters, not beasts, not enemies… but beings who caused destruction without even trying.

Outside, the wind blew harder.

As the staff locked up and left the bar, the air seemed to vibrate....softly, faintly, but enough for any supernatural creature to sense that something had shifted tonight.

Something important.

Something dangerous.

Something that didn’t belong.

Rose had entered the city looking for a fresh start, a new life, a quiet escape.

But she had walked into a territory that recognized her before she could recognize herself.

And tomorrow…

the hunt would begin.

  • BETROTHED TO MY LUNA OF TWO WORLDS   98. Forever And Always.

Rose POV The excitement of the moment didn’t end there. The next week. My mother, Caleb, and Matthew guided us to the wedding hall...a grand place, decorated with the blend of wolf tradition and human elegance. Silver crescents and soft lights hung overhead. The air vibrated with energy, and I could feel the other wolves present, acknowledging us, ready to celebrate. Adrian squeezed my hand, and I felt his power radiate through me. I knew I could trust him completely, not just with my life, but with my heart. The seer was there too, calm ,her eyes softening as she saw the bond between us. She had guided us through so much, and now she was witness to our choice, our union. The ceremony began. Adrian and I stepped forward, our paws and hands entwined, facing each other fully. We looked into each other’s eyes...the wolf and the half-wolf, the alpha and the Luna...and we spoke our vows. Not just words, but promises born from hardship, survival, love, and mutual respect. "I pro

  • BETROTHED TO MY LUNA OF TWO WORLDS   97. A Union Of Worlds.

Rose POV When I opened my eyes, all I saw was… him. ..Adrian. His face hovered above mine, relief shining in his eyes, mixed with the sharp intensity of an alpha who had feared the worst. “You’re awake,” he said softly, his hand brushing my hair back. His voice...calm, warm, unwavering...was a lifeline. I blinked slowly, trying to take in the scene. The streets were gone. The chaos was gone. The smell of blood and fire faded. And yet… I could feel the lingering heat of the light I had released, the echoes of power rippling inside me. “Did… did we win?” I asked, my voice hoarse, barely audible. Adrian’s eyes softened. “Yes. You… we won. But you’ve been asleep for two weeks.” “Two… weeks?” My chest tightened. My mind spun. Two weeks gone in a flash? “Yes,” he said, his thumb brushing my cheek. “The vampires are defeated. Some humans were lost, yes… but mostly, they were protected. And the rest… humans don’t know anything. The government has been guided. They think it wa

  • BETROTHED TO MY LUNA OF TWO WORLDS   96. The Light Of The Luna.

Rose POV Everything around me was chaos. I could feel it vibrating through the ground beneath me, in the air around me, in my chest. Wolves were falling. Humans were screaming. Vampires… their eyes burned with red fire, teeth bared, claws slashing anything that moved. I could hear the crack of bones, the tearing of flesh, the roar of alpha wolves trying to hold back the tide. I wanted to run, but my legs felt heavy. My heart pounded so fast I thought it might burst. And all I could think was… I am the Luna. I am the bridge between the worlds. And yet… I can’t save anyone. I can’t stop this. Fear gripped me. The weight of everyone depending on me… it was suffocating. Then Kate landed me a blow...I fell. And then, almost instinctively, I focused. I closed my eyes. I felt the pull of something deep inside me, something I had barely understood until now : my connection to the spiritual realm, to the Luna power I had carried all along. I whispered into the chaos: "Luna spirit

  • BETROTHED TO MY LUNA OF TWO WORLDS   95. The Red Night.

Adrian POV The sky turned red. Not slowly. Not gently. One moment the night was dark like any other night, and the next moment the moon changed. A deep red light spread across the sky, painting the world in a strange color. The Blood Moon had come. Humans looked up in curiosity. News channels spoke calmly, calling it a rare natural event. Scientists explained it. People took pictures. Some even celebrated it. They didn’t know. They didn’t know what it meant. They didn’t know that this night decided the fate of their world. All the wolves gathered. Not in the human world. But in the spiritual realm. The air there felt heavy. Sacred. Powerful. Every wolf stood in their true form. No lies. No hiding. Just strength. Just instinct. Just spirit. Rose stood beside me. Caleb stood behind us. The strongest wolves from all over the world surrounded us. Alphas. Leaders. Warriors. Everyone was ready. The Seer had prepared the chants. Rose and I stepped forward together. O

  • BETROTHED TO MY LUNA OF TWO WORLDS   94. Before The Blood Moon.

Rose POV I never imagined my life would turn into this. A few weeks ago, I was just a normal girl. I worried about work, traffic, bills, and simple things. Now, I stood in the middle of a large training field, surrounded by powerful wolves, learning how to survive a world I didn’t even know existed years ago. The morning air was cool, but my body was warm from movement. “Again,” Caleb said. I exhaled slowly and adjusted my stance. Adrian stood a few steps away from me, watching carefully. Matthew stood beside him, his arms folded, his eyes sharp and observant. I moved forward and attacked. Caleb blocked easily. Too easily. Before I could recover my balance, he tapped my shoulder lightly. “If that was a real fight,” he said calmly, “you’d be on the ground already.” I groaned. “I know.” Matthew stepped forward. “You’re thinking too much,” he said. “Stop trying to fight perfectly. Just react.” I nodded. I was tired. But I didn’t want to stop. Because this wasn’t practi

  • BETROTHED TO MY LUNA OF TWO WORLDS   93. The Bond Accepted.

Adrian POV The night felt different. Heavy. Sacred. Alive. The full moon hung high in the sky, brighter than I had ever seen it. Its silver light spread across the sacred grounds like a blessing from the Moon Goddess herself. Wolves had gathered from everywhere. Alphas. Betas. Leaders. Elders. The strongest wolves across territories stood in silence around the shrine. No one spoke loudly. No one moved unnecessarily. Everyone understood what tonight meant. This ritual would decide everything. My fate. Her fate. Our future. I stood at the front of the shrine, my hands relaxed at my sides, but inside me, power moved restlessly. It had been unstable since the last ritual failed. My body had recovered, but my spirit still carried the strain. Beside me stood Rose. She looked nervous. Her fingers kept moving slightly, like she was trying to stay calm. Her breathing was slow but not steady. I glanced at her. She met my eyes. There was fear there. But there was also tru
