49. Awake

Sa'eed pries his eyes open. The place is dark and he can't see a thing. He lays down, waiting for his eyes to adjust to the darkness first. Once his eyes adjust, he sees the light switch and he touches it making the lights come on. Where is he? 

He notices the room theme, milk and tangerine. That was the theme of his room back in his parent's house. He looks around and surely, it's his room. But how did he get here? He takes a bath and changes into one of the sweats in his wardrobe. 

He walks out of the room and the captivating scent of something - definitely baked - hits his nose. He remembers Halima. Where is she now? How is she? Numerous questions run through his mind. He knows everything he did to her. Every single thing. He didn't do it intentionally but the deed has been done. If only he will be able to meet her and apologize.
