Lily’s POV

Three days later, the morning sun poured through the windows, warm and soft, but I barely noticed it. My heart was pounding in my chest as I stood in front of the mirror, brushing my hair slowly. Today was the day. I was going to see my family again after everything. After the way they threw me out like I was nothing. After they turned their backs on me when I needed them the most. It felt surreal. Part of me still couldn’t believe I was actually going through with it.

I had woken up early, too nervous to sleep in. My stomach was tight with nerves, but also full with the weight of my unborn babies. I picked a dress that was light and flowy, a soft beige color that made my skin glow. It wasn’t fancy—just something simple and comfortable. The fabric stretched gently over my belly, highlighting my baby bump in a way that made me feel... powerful, in a quiet sort of way. Like I was no longer the scared girl they had tossed aside. I was a woman now. A mother. And I wasn’t going

  • BILLIONAIRE ALPHA'S ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE    Chapter 193

Lily’s POVAfter finishing our pizzas and wiping the grease from our fingers with the paper napkins, Kai flagged down the waitress and paid the bill. He didn’t even glance at the receipt. Just handed over his card like it didn’t matter. I always noticed little things like that. The way he moved with confidence, like he was used to being in control. But when he looked at me, all that power turned soft—gentle. As we stepped out of the restaurant, the evening air felt cooler than before. A gentle breeze brushed across my face, carrying the smell of baked bread and city streets. The sky above was painted in deep pinks and purples, and the sun was slowly dipping below the horizon. Cars zoomed past, and people hurried by on the sidewalks, wrapped up in their own lives. I clutched Kai’s arm as we walked back to the car, needing the closeness more than I wanted to admit. He opened the door for me like a perfect gentleman and helped me in, careful of my growing belly. Then he got in the driver

  • BILLIONAIRE ALPHA'S ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE    Chapter 192

Lily’s POV We kept driving, the sounds of the city growing louder the closer we got. Horns honked here and there, people crossed busy sidewalks, and cars zoomed past us. It was so different from the peace and quiet I’d gotten used to in the pack lands. Everything here felt fast, loud, and full of life. I hadn't realized how much I had missed it—how familiar it all still felt despite the time I had been away.Kai glanced at me, his hand resting loosely on the steering wheel. “What’s the address, sweetheart?”I quickly gave him the address to my father’s house, trying not to sound too nervous even though my heart was pounding in my chest. I could barely keep my fingers from fidgeting in my lap. Kai nodded, typed the address into the GPS, and the soft voice from the system began giving him directions.A few minutes later, he asked, “Are you hungry baby ? We can stop and get something to eat if you want.”I was just about to tell him I wasn’t, but right then my stomach made a loud growli

Lily’s POV Kai helped me down the stairs one careful step at a time, his strong hand holding mine while the other hovered protectively at my back. Even though I had walked down these stairs a hundred times before, he still moved like I was made of glass—like the babies I carried made me more fragile, more precious. And maybe, in his eyes, I was. My gown flowed softly around me, brushing against my ankles, and my sandals clicked lightly on the wooden steps. My belly was round and heavy now, and it made everything feel just a little slower. Still, with Kai at my side, I felt safe. Grounded.By the time we reached the bottom, Mer and Rhys were already there, waiting for us near the front door. Mer spotted us first, her face lighting up the moment her eyes landed on me.“There she is,” she said, hurrying over. Her long ponytail swayed behind her, and she opened her arms wide for a hug. “You sure you don’t want me to come with you?”I laughed softly and hugged her back, careful of the bum

Lily’s POV I tried to ignore it most days. I told myself it didn’t matter. That I had Kai now. I had our babies. I had a new life. But the thoughts always came back—soft, nagging, and bittersweet.I thought of my father. Of his stern face and the way his eyes had looked so cold when he told me to leave. I thought of my stepmother, always whispering poison into his ear, always looking at me like I was less than dirt. And I thought of Orianna—my stepsister. The one who had stolen my fiancé. The one who might be wearing the ring that was meant for me.I felt something tighten in my chest.Lately, those thoughts had been coming more and more. And no matter how much love I felt here in Kai’s arms, I couldn’t push them away anymore. I had questions. I had feelings I couldn’t ignore. And I needed closure. I needed something.“Kai…” I said softly, lifting my head slightly to look at him.His fingers paused in my hair, and he tilted his head down to look at me. “What is it, sweetheart?”I hes

Lily’s POV The cookies finally finished baking, and the delicious smell filled the whole kitchen. I carefully pulled the tray out of the oven using the mitts Margaret had left behind, and set it down on the counter. A small puff of warm air followed, and I couldn’t help but smile at how perfect the cookies looked—golden brown with the chocolate chips melted just right.I waited a few minutes so they could cool a little, then used a spatula to gently move them onto a small white plate. I picked the best-looking ones—ones I knew Kai would love—and tried not to eat one myself even though my mouth was watering. I poured a glass of cold milk into a clear glass from the cupboard and placed it beside the plate of cookies on a little wooden tray I found on the side.It looked cute, even if it was simple. I felt proud of myself. Before I left the kitchen, I quickly wiped my hands on a kitchen towel and fixed my hair in the reflection of the microwave door. I didn’t want to look too messy, eve

Lily’s POV Before I could say anything else, he slowly trailed his fingers down my arm, letting them linger on my skin. Goosebumps broke out across my body, and I shivered slightly. His touch always had that effect on me. Then, he lowered his face toward my neck. I sucked in a small breath as he pressed a soft, warm kiss right beneath my ear. His lips moved slowly, gently, sending little sparks of pleasure all through me. I let out a tiny moan before I could stop myself, my body leaning a bit into his. But just as things were getting heated, we both froze at the sound of someone clearing their throat loudly behind us. Kai pulled away slowly, looking over his shoulder with a guilty smile on his face. I turned too, and there was Rhys standing at the entrance of the kitchen, arms crossed, trying not to laugh. “Well, well,” Rhys said, raising an eyebrow. “Can’t even leave her alone in the kitchen without jumping her?” Kai chuckled and didn’t even try to deny it. “Can you blame

Lily’s POVAfter Kai left for work, the room felt way too quiet. I stayed in bed for a little while, just staring at the ceiling, listening to the soft ticking of the clock on the wall. I could still smell Kai’s cologne faintly on the pillows and sheets, and it made me miss him even more—even though he had just left.I reached for my phone, thinking I’d text Mer, but then I remembered she was working today. And Kai had made it very clear he didn’t want me going off on my own, not even for a walk. He was always worried something might happen. Honestly, sometimes it was sweet, but sometimes it made me feel like I was stuck in a really fancy cage.I sighed and rubbed my baby bump gently, feeling the tiniest flutter. "What do we do now, huh?" I whispered to my belly. After a few more minutes of doing absolutely nothing, an idea popped into my head. Cookies. Not just any cookies, but Kai’s favorite—chocolate chip. He always lit up when Margaret made them. His eyes would go all soft, and he

Lily’s POV After I finished eating breakfast, I leaned back against the pillows, feeling warm and full. The tray was still on the nightstand, and Kai gently took it away, kissing my cheek before standing up.“I need to get some work done,” he said softly, brushing a few strands of hair away from my face. “I’ll just take a quick shower first.”I nodded, watching him walk towards the bathroom. The door closed behind him, and I could hear the sound of the water running. I smiled to myself and placed a hand over my bump, whispering to the babies, “Daddy’s going to work now. But don’t worry, we’ll keep him company when he gets back.”A few minutes passed. I stayed in bed, toying with the edge of the blanket and thinking about how nice the morning had been so far. The room was quiet except for the gentle sound of the shower, and I felt so peaceful. Safe. Loved. Then, the bathroom door opened.Kai walked out, a towel wrapped low around his waist, still damp from the shower. His dark hair wa
