Lily’s POV

The next morning, soft sunlight streamed through the hotel window, slipping through the curtains and touching my face gently like a warm hand. I slowly opened my eyes, blinking away the sleep. I was still curled up against Kai, his chest rising and falling steadily. For a while, I didn’t move. I just listened to the quiet rhythm of his breathing and let it calm me.

Everything from yesterday came rushing back—the news about Orianna, the crying, the pain. My chest still felt heavy, but there was also a strange stillness inside me now. Like I’d cried out so much, I had nothing left. Just this deep ache that wouldn’t go away.

Kai stirred beside me, brushing a strand of hair off my face. “Morning,” he whispered, his voice low and soft.

“Morning,” I said, barely louder than a whisper.

We both got up slowly, moving like people who hadn’t rested properly. After a short shower together, we got dressed in silence. Kai packed our things while I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at m

  • BILLIONAIRE ALPHA'S ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE    Chapter 202

Lily’s POV My throat tightened a little at his words. I looked down at the food and picked up a piece of toast, biting into the corner. It was warm and buttery, just the way I liked it. I ate slowly, taking little bites, and with each one, I started to feel a tiny bit more alive. The food settled in my belly like a warm hug, and I didn’t even realize how hungry I was until the plate was empty.I had just finished the last sip of orange juice when a knock came at the bedroom door. It was soft but firm.Kai’s head turned toward the door, his body already rising from the edge of the bed.“That must be the doctor,” he said, running a gentle hand over my leg before walking across the room. He opened the door, and I tried to sit up straighter, suddenly feeling nervous. The bedroom door opened slowly, and the pack doctor stepped in. He was carrying his brown leather bag. He looked older, with gray in his hair and a few lines around his eyes, but there was something comforting about him. Hi

  • BILLIONAIRE ALPHA'S ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE    Chapter 201

Lily’s POVThe next morning, I woke up feeling like I hadn’t slept at all. My eyes were heavy, like they had weights on them, and every part of my body ached, even though I hadn’t done anything the day before. It wasn’t just being tired—it was something deeper, like the exhaustion had crawled into my bones and decided to stay there. My arms felt too heavy to lift, and even breathing felt like a chore. The sunlight coming through the curtains was soft and golden, painting warm lines across the bed. Outside, I could hear birds chirping and the soft rustling of leaves in the wind. It should’ve been a peaceful morning, the kind that makes you want to smile and stretch and start the day. But all I could do was lay there, staring at the ceiling and wondering why I felt so off.I didn’t even notice Kai was awake until I felt the bed move. He rolled over and looked at me with those stormy eyes of his, full of worry. I didn’t have to say anything—he could tell something wasn’t right. His hand

  • BILLIONAIRE ALPHA'S ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE    Chapter 200

Lily’s POVAfter I said goodbye to Orianna at the cemetery, Kai helped me stand up. My legs felt wobbly, like I’d been standing in one place too long, but also like all my strength had been pulled right out of me. I leaned into him, and he didn’t say anything, just held me the way he always does—firm and steady. My dad gave me a small nod, like he was proud of me, and we quietly made our way back to the car. None of us really talked. The silence wasn’t uncomfortable though. It was the kind that sits heavy in the air after something emotional. The kind of quiet that lets you think. We drove back to my dad’s house slowly, and I stared out the window most of the way. Trees passed by in a blur, and everything outside looked calm, normal, like the world hadn’t shifted for me. But inside, I felt different. Lighter in some places. Heavier in others. Like I had finally let go of something, but wasn’t sure what to do with the space it left behind. When we arrived a

Lily’s POV Dad squeezed my hand gently and then gestured for us to sit. The dining room felt warm and calm, with a soft morning light pouring in through the windows. The table had a simple breakfast set out—toast, eggs, a jug of juice, and some fruit. My dad must have been waiting for me.He pulled out a chair for me, and Kai helped me sit down carefully. Then he took the seat next to mine, his hand never fully leaving mine.My dad sat back down slowly, but his eyes never stopped watching me. There was so much emotion in his face—sadness, regret, worry—all mixed together. I could tell he had a lot he wanted to ask, a lot he wanted to say, but he stayed quiet. It was like he didn’t want to push me too far, like he was afraid that one more question might break me. I appreciated that more than I could say.A few minutes later, my stepmother came into the dining room, her expression softer than I’d ever seen it. She carried a tray with plates of food and set them gently on the table. Scr

  • BILLIONAIRE ALPHA'S ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE    Chapter 197

Lily’s POV When we pulled into the hotel parking lot, Kai parked the car and got out quickly. He came around and opened my door, helping me out like I was fragile. And I was. I felt like one wrong move could break me completely. He wrapped his arm around me as we walked inside. The hotel lobby was quiet, the air cool and smelling like air freshener and something floral. He spoke to the woman at the front desk while I leaned against the counter, feeling the weight of the day pressing down on me. My back ached, and my feet throbbed. After a few minutes, he came back with a key card. “Room 212,” he said gently, and I followed him down the hallway without saying a word. When we got inside the room, I sat down on the edge of the bed and let out a long, tired breath. My feet were sore, and I felt sticky from crying and sweating and just existing.Kai crouched down and gently took off my sandals, setting them aside. He looked up at me. “You should take a warm bath,” he said softly. “It’ll h
