Sebastian’s pov

The sun hadn’t risen fully when I heard the heavy knock on the door. I didn’t need anyone to tell me it was Dean. He never came silently. I opened the door slowly, still feeling the ache in my chest from the night before.

He walked in without saying a word, carrying his usual black laptop bag and a cold look on his face. His sharp eyes scanned the room before they settled on me.

“Where is everyone?” he asked quietly.

“Kitchen,” I said, stepping aside.

Dean was the kind of person who didn’t waste time with small talk. He nodded and went straight to the kitchen where the staff had gathered

I rush into my room like the world is chasing me. The door slams behind me, loud enough to make the picture frame on the wall shake. My shoes are still in my hand, my hair a mess, and the morning sun hits my face in a way that makes me squint.I’m late.Late for work. Late for life. Late for everything, oh my fucking god. My head hurts. It feels like my heartbeat has moved behind my eyes. I toss my bag on the bed, grab my phone, and see twenty missed calls from my co-worker, June. One message reads, “Ellie, the boss is mad. Meeting in 30 mins.”“God,” I whisper, pressing my hand against my forehead. “Not today.”How could I possibly have forgotten I had an important day today, ending up in a man's bed! The smell of last night’s perfume still lingers in the air. It mixes with regret and exhaustion. My black dress from last night is on the chair, wrinkled, a reminder of the mistake I’m trying so hard to forget. I grab it, shove it inside my laundry basket, and force myself not to look

Chapter 121One Night StandI am Ellie. It's pronounced El-eeee.And tonight, I don’t even recognize myself. The mirror in this dim hotel bathroom is cracked at the corner, and my lipstick smudges look like a wound on my face. My reflection feels like a stranger’s, one who wears a tight black dress and fake confidence. I used to be the kind of girl who believed in second chances, who thought the world rewarded honesty. But that was before London chewed me up and spat me out. Now, I’m just trying to breathe. The city outside feels alive, almost angry. From the window, I can see cars moving fast, their lights flashing like tiny stars in the dark.People are still awake, laughing, shouting, living their lives like the night will never end. But inside this room is quiet.Too quiet.I can hear my own breathing, shaky and heavy. I hold on to the edge of the sink, gripping it so tight that my fingers start to hurt. It’s the only thing keeping me steady at this point. Because right now, I f

Natalie's POV – Six Months LaterSix months had passed. A lot had changed, but the wound in my heart still hadn’t completely healed. I still woke up some nights shaking, remembering the moment I found out the truth. Remembering the betrayal, the pain, the loss of my child. Some things, you don’t just forget. You learn to live with them.Becky was now in jail. And not just that, the court had sentenced Iris again. This time to death by hanging. I never thought I would ever wish such punishment for someone, but with Becky, I couldn’t find a single drop of pity in my soul. She deserved every single pain that came her way. The lies, the poisoning, the fact that she looked me in the eye and still acted like my family -it made my blood boil.I remembered wa

Natalie’s POVI never imagined myself walking into a prison, but here I was. My palms were sweaty, my heartbeat loud in my ears. Alfred had said something strange the last time we spoke. "Maybe it's time you talk to your sister," he said. I laughed at him. Me? Talk to Iris? The same Iris who ruined everything in my life? But the way he said it - serious and low, like he knew something I didn’t - it had been stuck in my mind since then.Perhaps she was really sorry and want to apologize. So here I was.The guard led me down a narrow hallway. The air was thick, the walls dull grey. I hated the smell - disinfectant mixed with something rotten.

Sebastian's POVIt had been three days since the news broke.Three long, quiet, painful days.Every time I looked at the TV or opened my phone, the headline screamed at me: “Sebastian and Natalie lose their baby.”The whole world knew. None of it made sense. How did they know?Natalie and I had kept it private. Only a few people knew -close friends, doctors, and our staff. So how did the media find out?
