LEAVING

Sighing she drifted out of her thoughts as she shivered because of cold. The bath she had ram was already cold and she was still in it, funny how long a person's thought can take them when they least expect it. Standing up from the bathtub she wrapped a towel around her body as she headed out of the bath, she had subconsciously tried to scrub away the prints yesterday left on her to no avail and right now all she felt was dirty inside out, no matter how many times she had washed. She hated the fact she looked so weak and pathetic and had been an easy target, she hated the fact that she had reacted stupidly to the situation and was regretting it, she hated the fact thst her life sucked.

Picking up her phone and seeing several miss calls from her mum caused her to almost break down because she knew how much she had disappointed her, wiping her tears she sighed as she looked around for something that belonged to the stranger she had slept with, she couldn't get things to be the way they used to be but she could do herself good by knowing the man she had slept with. Crying wasn't going to solve anything.

Checking around she only saw a cheque of five billion dollars and a note vividly explaining how tight and good she was in bed got her all flared up, the person had written that note like she was nothing but a dirty whore who should be grateful for a generous tip. Paying her off for a night stand was bad but making her look like a slut was the least she could contain with, that son of bas**rd should be lucky they never met gave to face and also for the fact she had no idea who he was or she would have taunted him to death and told him how much of a fool he was, the nerve of that b**ch.

Laughing sarcastically at how ironic her world she sighed and shook her head, she hated anything related to sluts and even avoided them yet here she was been labelled as one, yesterday if someone had told her that her life would vhsnge in less than twelve hours she would have laughed it off as a joke and referred to the person as a weirdo .... But here she was, in the worst mess that she could habe ever imagined herself to be.

Looking at the cheque and back at herself she couldn't help but sigh as she knew what she had to do, others would have possibly torned the cheque and curse out their rapist but she wasn't going to. Since her virginity wasn't going to be and couldn't be brought back it was only fair she took the money no matter how slutty it looked, besides the amount was huge plus she needed money for herself, her future, her mum and this was the right opportunity to get one. She needed to make a name for herself, she needed to be strong, independent and very wealthy only then could she get revenge for both what she and her mum had faced, the pains, the heartbreak, the sufferings, the insults, the look down and the betrayals and the key to that was money. Sighing she dressed up as her mind drifted back to what had really led her to go clubbing yesterday. She wasn't suffering from just heartbreak

***

She had gotten dressed in a simple blue gown and a pair of silver heels, she hadn't owned any of these until that evening because they had been gifted to her by her step sister Sila, she was the only one who Maddy liked and was in great terms with, they talked about a lot of things and Madison trusted her with her life and all in it. She was three years older than Madison and was the one getting engaged today, she was part of the reason Maddy had decided to grace the occasion as she didn't want her step sister to get angry at her for not showing up besides they had promised to be bestfriends and sisters in one or so she thought

Sitting down on one of the seats provided for her in the ballroom, she had looked around for Daniel and to her disappointment she couldn't find him anywhere, holding her pounding heart as she looked at the performances taking place at the stage with people greating another she sighed. She was feeling restless and seriously wanted to leave.

Just as she was about to she was called by her so called father for an interview and by the time they were done she was already worn out

"Don't disgrace me no matter what! And don't even think of leaving!!!" Her father whispered dangerous with a smile before leaving her by herself as she sighed in relief before gulping down a glass of punch and settling down back at her sit and watching various shows and artists perform while wondering if the same would have been done for her if she was actually the one getting engaged today though deep down she knew the answer, laughing at her stupid thoughts and thinking she concentrated on the stage

Even in a simple dress, let down hair and no makeup, she still looked breathtaking and beautiful, her beauty and curves couldn't be hidden by inferior clothes or dresses plus she was very intelligent and that seemed to have gained her more hatred from both her step siblings and step mother. She was bound to take the spotlight from them and she tried as much as cover it but a beauty would always attract people and so she kept having many admirers despite not wanting it. The events kept going on and just as she was getting tired and ready to leave that was when the main occasion started.

Her sister matched down the hall in a bright wine colored ball gown, her hair had been neatly dressed and curled and the makeup she wore today rythmed with her skin tone, she was looking absolutely stunning and her smile was addicting as she stood on the stage causing Madison to smile as well, even if she was sad inside she was truely happy for her sister as she had found happiness and would now live a life with someone she loved and cherished. She was glad her sister had found happiness but her smile and joyful heart crashed down when her boyfriend joined the stage when the fiance was been called upon. What was really going on??? How could he be the one engaged to get sister when they had literally been dating and had just called quits some hours ago?? Was that even logically possible?? Her eyes must be decieving her or she must have drunk alcohol without knowing it besides Sila knew she had been dating Daniel for the past four years and had literally known him for six years so it seemed like something was really wrong somewhere that should be it or else how could they possibly be getting engaged to each other right now, even as her heart kept pounding and head spinning she kept fighting the damnest with her inner self to remain calm as this was probably a joke.

Looking into Sila's eyes for some kind of explanation and seeing that knowing smirk like she was doing this to get back at her made her realize how much of a fool she had been. Her sister had been dating her boyfriend behind her back and had managed to do so under her nose as to how long it had been she couldn't even tell, she deserved to be called a dummy. It was funny how she had kept pouring her mind to Sila each time she asked or thet had a lover's quarrel, she had managed to destroy her relationship without even knowing it as she had given them a hand.

Not only had she been heartbroken tonight she had faced a betrayal worst than stealing itself and the worst part was that it had to do with the two people she trusted the most, the world must really had been laughing at for been naive and innocent

Clenching her fists and fighting her tears she kept looking at them not wanting them to know how much danage they had caused her in one night. Face was wolves in sheep's dressings

When they were asked how they met they had said with was through her which was true, right now she was regretting that decision she took two years back, Sila even had the gusts to thank her for breaking up with Daniel as it was during that period they flew in love as they started hanging out more.

Maddie found it shocking that they could shamelessly come up with such stupid lie just to intimidate and make her look bad if she was against them, she never knew people could be manipulative until that every evening.

When asked if she approved their relationship they replied with a smile in her direction she wouldn't be here for the engagement if she didn't approve it at all, physcos. Her mind flashed back to when Sila started to be nice to her and she had laughed at her stupidity and naive heart for believing everything she had been told, leaving the party as she couldn't take the pain anymore she headed straight to a club to drink away her sorrow which literally landed her in this mess. She had learned her lessons the very hard way.

Sighing as she finished recalling yesterday's event and looking at the cheque one more time before stuffing it into her purse. Her mind was already made up she was leaving, she was going to be famous and successful that way she wouldn't be stepped on ever again and this cheque was going to be her stepping stone to success and upliftment and was going to go a long way in helping her.

Dragging her weak body out of the hotel room she headed straight for the elevator pressing the last floor button as she kept thinking about her future
