Seeking her

"Have the table prepared, she will be here any moment. I can't endure another round of her complaints. You know how it goes," Alice, a young woman clad in a waitress uniform, instructed her colleague as they prepared dinner in the kitchen.

Ingrid, Alice's colleague replied in a subtle tone. "What do you even mean by that, Alice?" A thought crossed her mind and her eyes widened as she added in disbelief. "Don't tell me..."

Alice interrupted her with a curt nod, knowing what she was about to say. She stirred the contents of the pot as she replied carelessly. "Yeah, it is exactly what you think. The trip to Clasold City was another disappointment. She couldn't find her there either."

In contrast to Alice, Ingrid recoiled in shock at the revelation, concern etched on her face as she shook her head with sympathy. "Oh no, that's truly heartbreaking. I feel so bad for her. Oh my gosh."

Alice let out a weary sigh and shrugged. "Yeah, me too. I mean I used to, but not anymore..."
