CHAPTER TWELVE

“I choose none because I’ll take care of myself.”

I saw how all four faces went from shock to disagreement and they all began talking at once.

“Take care of yourself?”

“I almost lost you today, Rosalind. Do you think I’ll be okay knowing you may be hurt tomorrow?”
