Bella’s POV

“Promise me that you will live, princess. Promise me that you will never come back here,” Mom pleaded as I tearfully took her blood stained body in my arms. “We hid your birth well, baby. Don’t worry ….,” however she trailed off when she suddenly gasped for air but it only took her soul away.

“MOMMMM ….,” I screamed while I cried out loud as I watched my beautiful mom breathe her last breath in my arms.

“Listen - to - the - Queen, baby,” my dying father and the Lycan King mumbled through broken sentences. “We love you, princess but you need to get out of here. Your mother and I will watch over you from heaven,” he gently said.

“Dad ! Please don’t leave me alone,” I desperately pleaded as I watched the agonizing silvery poison gnash inside him.

“Shush child,” he softly cooed. “Now listen to me and listen well. You are the last lycan left now. The Dark Overlord doesn’t know that yet. I want you to continue your lycan training and open up your own business to survive in the human world. I am sure you will find your mate when you turn 18 years old. Take this vial and keep it safe with you. Give it to your mate and turn him into one of us,” he paused to take a breath as he struggled to speak any further.

“But Dad ….,” I tearfully protested.

“Baby, I know we never imagined this would happen but you are my true Lycan Princess and I want you to behave like one right now. Keep your powers well hidden and protect the human world from the Dark Overlord’s evil powers. He will conquer it once he is done defeating all other supernatural powers. Run away, Bella. Run away. Live for us …. ,” he somehow forced out as many words as he could and trailed off mid sentence as his soul decided to leave his body at that very moment.

I watched his body go limp in his own pool of royal blood and staring ahead I saw the bodies of all pack members lying in a similar state.

“You all can make a pack of your own in heaven now,” I chuckled through the tears as I watched the ghastly scene that lay in front of me.

I will not let you down, Mom and Dad.

I will live for you all.

I promise to avenge your deaths.

I, Bella Diaz, the Princess of the pure blood Lycans take the pure blood oath that I will not let our lineage die. I will train so hard that I will make the Dark Overlord pay for his crimes, triple the times the hurt he caused you all !

I swear I will make him pay for the price of your lives ! And that is my promise.

Kai’s POV

“Run away, son. Run away and never come back. This is NOT a request as your father but an ORDER as your Lycan Beta,” my father commanded desperately as life ebbed out of him and he struggled to keep himself upright to instruct me further.

“But Dad I don’t want to leave you all,” I cried as I tried to desperately claw away the Wolfsbane flowing in him.

“No one knows about your birth, Kai. After your mother’s death, I tried to keep you shielded from everyone but now you are our only hope to avenge us and continue our lineage,” my powerful Dad painfully choked out the words somehow.

“Dad, I will not let you die and I will definitely not leave you alone,” I said in a shaky voice as my hands trembled while trying to claw out the silvery poison out of him.

“No Kai. Forget this place for good and use these suppressants while living in the human world. Do not breed with anyone till you find your true mate when you turn 18. Promise me you will not do anything rash. Now go away before the Dark Overlord comes back,” he pushed me roughly through the thin veil that he had just created and closed the portal immediately.

“Noooooooooooo,” I screamed with outstretched hands but it was too late and I was already in a different world that was known as the Human World.

My Dad. My pack. My home.

I lost them all in one night !

I will not let your sacrifice go in vain, Dad.

I will surely avenge my pack’s gory death.

I looked at the suppressants in my hand and choked a sob when I remembered my dying father.

This was his last wish so be it.

I forced myself to drink the ghastly suppressants before I blacked out in the middle of nowhere and slumped into a deep, deep dark slumber.

I might be the last lycan left but I swear I will fulfill your last wish, Dad.

I swear to make you suffer so bad.
