180 – BOND AND TEARS

REBEKKA POV

“HE IS DEAD… I KILLED HIM MYSELF!”

I felt the impact of the words but somehow, I could not make sense of them at all. “Wha–” I stuttered.

There was a sudden realization in Alpha Stephan’s eyes but then the steely resolve and viciousness returned, “Yes… he is dead so it is pointless to bother about a corpse!”

My legs moved, as wobbly as they were, taking me backwards, away from the confessed murderer before me.

My hands cupped my lips and I stared at him with wide and shaky pupils, disbelief spilling out of them.

“No,” I muttered as I kept staring at Alpha Stephan, the man I loved was not capable of such.

“You wouldn’t–” I gasped as a wave of grief hit me.

Ever since I had left Damon’s cabin, I had a bad feeling at the back of my mind, a bad feeling that only got worse the more I questioned Alpha Stephan.

Now that bad feeling had exploded in my gut and I felt like I was going to vomit.
