Following Day

Next morning, after Alexis managed to ruin my evening, I walked down and hissed at the sight of her ambling towards my direction.

She falls a frown on and we both walked into the dining room table.

"Good morning dad?". I greeted and sat next to Kieth.

She too did same and sat at opposite direction away from me.

The same time, mom came out with Maria Jose, holding a tray.

She served us each other plate and the second her feet tried leaving. Dad said.

"Happy birthday Maria Jose?".

In a haste I lifted up my gaze, "is today your birthday?". I asked, rather she ignored me and smiled at dad.

"Thank you sir?". ( Her words as she turns again leaving)

It seems yesterday incident hasn't erase from her mind, Alexis cleared her throat, reeling me back to her.

"Witch". ( I mouthed to myself)

Thereafter, seeing that it was her birthday, I rushed up and out holding a gift in my hand.

Unfortunately, Alexis bumped into me, I turned to the exit but halts noting she stopped me.

"Can we talk?"..

I turned around disapproving her idea.

"Talk about what Alexis?, Let go".

The  tone I used smurfed a weak smile on and she lets out in a saractic tone.

" Let me guess, you're acting all this because of Maria Jose?".

A weak smile on, i said. "Yes!! And now that you know can you not cross my path and never do anything like that ever again?".

( Nudge her off and fled)

( Maria Jose's room)

I walked in and met she wasn't in. Where could she be, that's my head talking, when I took heed of a footsteps approaching towards the door.

I turned and at the sight her eyes met with mine. She said with a frown.

"What are you doing here master Chris?".

Maria Jose has gone back from calling me,  Chris with a huge smile to master Chris with a frown.

Urgh, Alexis is such a fucking bitch.paron my language..

Following that up, I told on tht reason for my visit to her room.

"Happy birthday Maria?".

I said and past the sealed envelope to her.

What's this?". Donning a curious face she takes it from me, and the second she read through the letter she lets out.

"Is this something I'll be able to use?, A coupon?".

( Unbelievable)

Abruptly, I never knew what to give her, but making a coupon was something that came to mind.

So i said.

"Yes, look Maria Jose, this isn't just a mare coupon, but a time will come, you're gonna use this to either save or destroy, either way, happy birthday and I hope God blesses you with a long life and happy memories".

( Smiles and left her lost at my words)

A cloud of relieved settled on my face, but it mined off the moment dad walks in with Alexis, and behind her, a man and woman dressed in a similar attire walked in as well. "Who're they?". I asked, but got the pending question,the minute dad introduced them as Alexis parent's.

I greeted them after calling Kieth down, deep down it felt strange seeing them home, but maybe they came just to visit, that I said to myself, neither did I know that their visit was for something else.

"Chris, come closer?"

( Dad says in a loving tone)

I went further and sat next to him, and he proceeds again, "do you know why, Alexis parent's are here?".

( Dad asked, pausing to hear my response)

My head turned around and back, retorting back with an answer, "no dad?" I said and anxiously waited for him to tell .
