Maybe I lied

Before I could retaliate, Maria Jose went back to the same place she walked out from.

Dad smiles and Alexis decides to let go .

Dad says, "you didn't tell me, you both like each other?".

"What are you saying?".

I chocked up on my words.

Alexis takes up a chance and to another suprise, affirmed dad's statement.

"Yes sir, you're right?".

Her eyes scanned through mine, deep down I was like, what the fuck is she doing?.

Dad dragged me back to meet his glare. "Take a walk with me son" he says and left.

I frowned at Alexis and went after him, I'll have to stop any misunderstanding dad might get after seeing Alexis odd behavior, like what the hell was she thinking and why?.

( We walked into his study room)

"Son?".

He turns around knitting my gaze..

"Yes dad?".

Dad gets all cozy with me, he filled up the distance between us and said.

"You didn't tell me about Alexis and yourself?".

"Huh?",

He takes up another question. "Do you like Alexis?".

( Waits to hear my comeback)

"No?".

Without thinking I said, dad smiles seeing how fast and non hesitant I replied.

"Are you sure?". ( He reads the expression on my face, thereafter continues talking after noting my same response to him)

"Okay, tell me son!! If not Alexis, who then do you like?".

( His words)

I took my time to reply, how would dad react to the fact that I'm in love with his maid?, Will he be able or not?, Is he going to fight against our love?, I'll have to find a way to break the truth to him.

So I said. "Dad!!! I'll have to tell you some other time, today isn't the right, okay?".

He nods and went further to sit.

He looks and watched me leave his office holding a weak smile on.

"Hmm!! Something isn't just right?". ( Dad Says)

Apparently, I swung down the stairs and caught Maria Jose's attention.

She takes a new turn trying to ignore my presence, but I rub her dragging her back to me.

"Can we talk?". I asked.

"Why?" She did same. Acting all odd and distant towards me.

It seems after seeing the scene downstairs, Maria Jose is set on acting strange.

"Because I'll love for we to talk".

( My words to her)

She got so defensive, to a point she drove me back in a stunned deameanor.

Alexis walked in and met the atmosphere heated.

"Is everything okay?".

Maria Jose turns around and left, faking a smile.

Alexis takes a look at me aiming to know, I frowned and ignored her ambling towards my room door.

"Chris?" She calls, yet I didn't stop.

"Chris, I command you to stop". She continued, yet nothing went on as planned.

My feet gained ground, thus the second it moved to take the last step in..

A hand dragged me back and latched out on me.

"How dare you ignore me Chris, I've been calling you yet you don't want to listen".

Alexis tone of voice immediately gave raise to mine, I nudge her off and spoke my mind out.

"Because you're set on destroying my life, what was that downstairs, the kiss?".

I hoped that she would at least be truthful but all I got was "So, what if I kissed you, is it a crime?".

Alexis had no atom of regret for what happened, and no matter how much I'll love to make her understand, that I ain't in love with her, it was best to let her know that by herself and hopefully get over me.

( Frowns and slammed the door to her face)
