A different family

The party seems to be going on well, I went to the bar to order a drank, when suddenly I heard Muni, Karan's sister talking on the microphone

I grabbed unto my glass and hastily turns to find her getting the stage ready for a dance performance.

Avanti spotted me from afar and hurriedly came.

She says, " javelin, I think Muni is planning something,".

I looked at her on the stage dancing, before facing Avanti again.

"Yes, I only feel the same way, but we will have to find a way to know what she's planning,"... I said to her scared Avanti, galloping her hands together.

She understood and left.

I came to meet my parents seated on their chair, my mom was so taken way by Muni's performance.

She wasn't the only one.

Dad too and my younger brother, was busy filming the entire thing...

I joined the others who watched Muni's performance, while dancing  I noticed her looking at a party direction, I faced too, hoping I can find something out of the ordinary, however nothing seems to be grab my attention.

A waiter comes to me.

"Ma'am, champagne?,". He takes out a glass and gave to me.

I thought why not have another glass of champagne and have a look at Muni.

"Thank you,"? I said to the waiter as he walks over to other guests present at the party.

Abhishek was standing with his mother.

In a gulp I emptied my glass, only to turn over again and find Muni, dressing around him.

I don't know. Immediately I felt like this urge to go over there and grabbed Abhishek away from her.

Mrs anuradha was staring angrily.

I was hoping she would do something, however nothing.

And since she didn't do anything.

I left my purse with my brother and went off to were Abhishek was, standing in the middle of Muni dancing around.

Abhishek saw me approaching .

He shook his head, I thought he didn't want me to come any closer but it seems I wasn't understanding anything.

Because when Muni was busy dancing around Abhishek, I found a chance to hold onto her hand and pulled her away from getting closer to him.

Everyone at the party stared startled.

I saw Mrs Anuradha grinning at what I had just done, from the crowd, Avanti also smiled.

Abhishek grabbed my hand and made me face him.

"Javelin, are you drunk?". He confirmed after pulling close to me.

I laughed, without pausing.

Abhishek didn't like that at all, he pulled me behind his back and chanced to leave.

"Let's go,". He said.

I didn't do anything until when he wasn't expecting any reaction, I took my hand away and hurriedly went off to the podium and began to dance.

I had no control over myself.

From the stage, I saw my parents clapping as I continued to dance.

Everyone seem to have a good time, but no, Abhishek wasn't pleased.

He grumpily folded his hand and join everyone watching me.

After that episode. I woke up inside my bedroom having a serious headache.

I turned to the door, seeing Abhishek standing at the door.

He looks at me with a straight face.

"Good morning dear, you look terrible,". He walks inside with a cup of tea in his hand.

He stretched out his hand to me.

"Tea?". He said.

I couldn't help but see the look on his countenance. Abhishek seems not to be happy.

I collected the tea, resting my head on the bed's pillow.

I gently siped the tea.

Abhishek however takes out a chair, and directly sat down facing me.

I couldn't help myself but ask.

"Why the look on your face?, Did I do anything wrong last night?". I said, after taking a sip of tht tea

Abhishek growled.

"Don't tell me, you do not remember what happened, at your parent's party last night?". He questioned me, acting strange.

I rested my head a little and said.

"You're not making any sense, what did I do?". I said.

I had no recollection of what might have happened last night.

Abhishek however kept on staring at me. If looks could kill, I would have been dead right now.

He was Just about to respond to my question, a knock on tht door, interrupted us.

I turned to the door, and Avanti walks in dancing around my bedroom.

Abhishek and I faced each other before confirming the reason behind Avanti's joyful nature.

"Tell me, what is going on?," Abhishek said. He pulls his chair away from facing me and it faced her instead.

"Yes, tell us, what's is happening, did anything happen?". I asked her too

Avanti looks at me.

She however didn't stop smiling, but that didn't also stop her from responding.

She says, " y'all wanna know the reason why I'm happy this morning?". She faces me, " do you want to know, bestie,?". She quizzed me.

For the second time, Abhishek and I shared the same gaze for a while before facing his sister.

Our silence and curious faces, made her finally talk.

"Bro, javelin, the priest just came and the date of y'all wedding has been finalized,". She yelled.

Abhishek arose from his chair and said.

"Wait! Are you serious?"

He went ahead to meet her.

Avanti shook her head.

"Yes brother and you both will be getting married in three weeks, ".. she looks at me, " also y'all be having two weddings, one India and a church, wedding, isn't it fantastic?". She withdrew her eyes from my gaze.

On hearing the news Abhishek was over the moon.

He turns and faced me.

"Javelin, so tell me, do we go ahead with this,?" He questioned me.

I hesitated to speak...

I don't know, but isn't this too sudden?... Do u want to get married to Abhishek, minus the fact that we are already married?

Isn't this cheating?.

Avanti came to my bed.

"Javelin, what are thinking?". She held my hand, "tell me, don't you want to get married to my brother, again?".
