Chapter Thirty Seven

Shine. I see a ray of light at first, and then in a second, my eyes open. I take in the scene before me . My family, my aunt Sara lying on the floor as Charlie checks her, all of the family surrounding her and Jer stands nearby, Drew sitting by my side, his face between his hands and he is curled up. I close my eyes and open them again and then it all hits me. The reality and what happened. I get up in whoosh, alarming Drew.

He stands before me and I look at him to see his eyes filled with sorrow. I turn and I see Jer, he doen't even meets my eys and looks at the ground. I look at my aunt , she is lying so still. No. No. No.

NO! It can't be. No. please, no. God, don't take her.

My tears start flowing as it all clicks . Drew hugs me and I snuggle deeper into him. I cry, and let out horrible screams and I feel the ground shake. Everybody looks at Drew and Jer gets alarmed.

" Hey baby, please don't break like that. Please, try to control yourself. I can't bear to look at you like that.
