LOGINMaster Jayden and his personal assistant Andrew matched into the Oscars' family secret mason and when Jayden tried to escape to his room, they got surprised to see Amanda on the sofa crocheting. It was more of her hobby. As they walked into the living room, she turned and raised a brow, then waved her hand to her son.
“Where did you go to? I thought you retired to your room already.” Amanda asked and stopped what she was doing.
“I…” He was thinking of what to say.
“We went to town to…” Andrew already thought of a lie, but Jayden wasn't ready to let his personal assistant get the credit of defending him.
Interrupting Andrew, “I went to town to visit a long-time friend!” He walked up to his mother and sat beside her, “And I took your Mercedes as well.” Jayden stated, and she smiled.
“I know that as well! Dominic told me so.” She mentioned and gently touched her son's face with her free hand, her eyes were brown, and it looked so beautiful. Jayden then rested his head on his mother's shoulder and held her tight to himself. Andrew, however, excused himself and went away.
Jayden's weak point was his mother. There were only emotions seen on his face whenever he was close to her but, to the outside world, he was a furious beast.
“Dinner is ready!” Margret announced, “Oh dear, I didn't see you around. Did you go somewhere?” She asked Jayden and got no response. Jayden just gave a deaf ear to her question and stood up.
“Thank you, Margret!” Amanda said in a gentle tone. Margret pretended to be pleased and turned away.
“How do you put up with her?” Jayden asked angrily.
Amanda didn't react, she just picked back her crochet and continued, “She is your dad's wife. You really have to accept that and stop all this. She is also your stepmother, you know?” She looked up at Jayden and he looked away.
“I will go refresh before everyone comes down.” He responded and walked away.
Soon, everyone gathered around the big dinning table. Since they were, they had to leave the small dinning and use the one downstairs. It was so wide and well spaced. It has frames of different art works on it but, not more than six. This time, there were no empty seats because all were occupied and each person knew their position at the dinning.
Mr. Oscars was the one to seat at the grand seat and Jayden sat beside him. However, the dinning table was filled with countless delicious meals and everyone wanted to have a bite as fast as possible but, Mr. Oscars would order someone to pray for the meal first. It was the rule of the Oscars family and since it was a get together dinner, it must be carried out.
The servants of the household stood beside the dinning table, just in case they need to attend to any urgent assistance.
“Jayden, pray for the food!” Mr. Oscars requested, and everyone closed their eyes. He picked Jayden because, it has been a while, Jayden joined them to eat. Though they all had lunch, but he asked for his food to be taken to his room.
“I won't!” Everyone heard Jayden refusal and eyes opened again.
To avoid quarrels, Amanda tapped Alexis and without saying a word, she knew why her Aunt touched her, “I will pray!” Alexis mentioned, “Let's close our eyes, please.” Alexis said with her tiny feminine voice, and it melted Jayden. Her sweet voice would melt any soul and so, everyone obeyed her.
They knew she was doing it for Alexis and so, no one dared to say anything since Mr. Oscars already accepted. Alexis was so special in the Oscars’ family. Was it because of Jayden or her pure nature?
Alexis said a short prayer and soon, spoons on plates were being heard. Everyone went for their taste.
“Please pass the vegetable!” One said and immediately, a young maid rushed and handed it over.
“So, Jayden, what have you been up to lately?” Margret asked while faking a smile.
Jayden didn't even rise his head to look at her before giving an answer, “It’s not your business!” He said rudely.
“But I just want to know if you're really handling the affairs of the company as suppose.” Margret was persistent and it annoyed Jayden the more.
Jayden raised his head and looked up at Margret, “That is just none of your fuck*** business.”
“You don't talk to her like that! And what did I say about the f word?” Mr. Oscars warned.
“Or you get another wife? Isn't that the complete statement you had in mind?” Jayden asked, and everyone at the table froze. Even the servants dared not to breathe.
“You don't talk to your father that way!” Amanda uttered.
Jayden dropped his fork roughly, “I’m done eating! If you'd excuse me.” He furrowed his brow, looking like an angry beast, he glanced at his Dad and then at Margret. He cleaned his mouth and walked out.
“Son!” Amanda called out as she rolled her eyes at Margret. She knew Margret was continually trying to put more charcoals to the burning fire.
Jayden heard his mother's voice and stopped halfway out of the dinning room. He was standing just opposite a hung mirror on the wall. His back reflection showed in the mirror.
“Jay, you shouldn't get angry at that. His only…” Aunt Kathy did not finish her statement.
“I don't need your advice.” Jayden paused for a while, “Mum, I will come back tomorrow. The house is suffocating.” Amanda understood her son. Though the house was wide enough for ventilation but, the truth remained that, he hated almost everyone.
Margret's relatives came over for holiday as well, and it annoyed Jayden to see them.
However, Alexis wanted to follow Jayden because, she was the only one who could cool his temper. He loved her so much that he would do anything she asks.
“No, stay back with mum. She might need your assistance. I am sorry, I won't sleep here tonight but, I promise to get something when I come tomorrow.” Alexis sat back on her seat and nodded in acceptance.
Andrew, immediately, ran after his master Jayden. Andrew called the driver and also called a hotel. The hotel was Jayden's favorite. Though he loved other hotels, but, he visited this hotel more than the others.
“I’m going with the Ferrari. You come with the girl.” Jayden said, while pointing at the Ferrari, he entered the car without waiting for the driver and zoomed off.
Herry did not leave; instead, he kept trying to involve Loverina in every discussion. It wouldn't take anyone hours to know Herry was a chatty, and sort of funny. He kept them company until Jayden returned.Loverina's face lit up when she saw Jayden. She hurried to welcome him, only to see Herry smirking.'Weird,' she wondered. She didn't hug Jayden; she only stood near him, wearing a bright smile."How are you?" he asked her."Fine. How was work?" she asked back.Jayden opened his mouth to answer, but Herry beat him to it."And here you are acting all lovey-dovey around him." Herry remarked and applauded her.Jayden turned to Loverina, "Did something happen between you two in my absence?"She couldn't comprehend what he meant, confused as to why the question was directed at her. On a normal day, Jayden would go straight to his room to bathe and change his clothes. The sudden frown on his face made her more uncomfortable.Jayden took off his suit and handed it over to Peggy, who had jo
Loverina, who was fast asleep on the couch in the living room, felt a warm touch on her forehead, which made her squeeze her face.“Is she sick or what?” A deep voice asked, and it came from not far from her.“No, not at all. She was very healthy earlier.” A familiar voice responded.Loverina slowly opened her eyes to have a peep at whom it might be. That deep voice for certain doesn't belong to Jayden. If not, she would have sat up already.“What's her name again?” The deep voice asked Peggy.‘Again?’ It rang in Loverina's head. If he said 'again,' that proves he knows who she is or might have seen her before. It scared her because if he was someone she met before Jayden, things would go from smooth to complicated.Who? His voice wasn't even helping matters.“You knew her before?” The young man answered. With Loverina's still half-closed eyes, she couldn't see the man.“I can't say I know her, but her face does look familiar. Jayden introduced us.” He replied, and Loverina felt reli
“Take this and you will feel better.” One of the nurses offered her a yellow squared tablet.Without hesitation, Bethel rushed off the nurse's opened palm and swallowed it. The nurse smiled and left. It was all a lie because the more she took those tablets that were being given and promised to make her feel alright, the more she was completely losing her sanity. It was as if they planned it all to mess her brain up. Not only that, it made her very obedient to whatever she was ordered to do. Even if asked to lie on a mud, Bethel was sure she would because no longer had control over her body. A week after and Bethel started to behave no different from the other psycho people. She even started to pick up their violent traits and would be disciplined. Then seeing their progress so far, they called her husband, Doris.“Hello sir, this is from Downdrop Psychiatric hospital.” The doctor said, and Doris, who was at the pleasure of two ladies, got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom.
Some were chanting the word ‘Yes!’ like some sort of song with food dropping off their mouth. So disgusting to look at and yet, others seemed to have gotten used to it.It was one of her worst experiences.“You stood so still like a stick….. Oh, I see you really want the bathroom to be brought to you, huh, stupid woman!” A female nurse said as she tried to get hold of Bethel but got pushed down instead and the hall fell quiet in shock.Bethel seemed to have had enough of their nonsense already. The pushed nurse immediately got up to her feet and attempted to hit Bethel, “How dare you?” She screamed angrily while charging towards her.“Stop!” The head staff commanded. The doctor had put her in charge and to closely monitor Bethel. As everyone watched for more drama, Bethel quietly walked out of the main hall. She needed to wash off the soup from her head and now drained body. She went to the women's side of the bathroom, washed everything except the stain on her cloth. The moment she g
“Hey you!” A voice shouted out, followed by a disturbing racket which was caused by a stick struck against the cell iron door. This was how they called out to her when it’s food time.Bethel approached the door and stretched her hands through the small opening so they wouldn't throw her food on the ground. It was a norm thing they usually do once there’s a delay. The food would be thrown in through the opening and if she doesn’t eat it, she will still have to clean up the mess. She waited for them to place the plate on her hands, instead, she felt an intense pain that shook her whole body. Immediately she retreated while groaning loudly.“Why did you do that?” She questioned in a loud voice as she kept looking down at her redded hands.A laughter erupted just outside the cell and she could hear familiar voices.“Shut up winch!” Hearing that, Bethel frowned and cleaned her tears. Since the evil ones were responsible for her, she they were yet to give it their all. There was no way sh
They ordered small snacks and drank it with their bubble tea while discussing random topics. Loverina tried her best to match the conversations because the truth of her background would always slow her while mingling with those born wealthy.Peggy on the other hand would sometimes cover for Loverina as if she knew the truth somehow. And unknowingly they spent over forty minutes just chatting.“Oh my God, I totally forgot. It skipped my mind.” Scott said in realization.“What?!” Mia inquired.“I had an errand.” This time his panic showed on his face after he checked the time. He instantly got up and knew it was time to do a short explanation and run the hell out of the place. “I am sorry for this. I would have loved to stay longer but my dad had sent me on an errand to fetch something from a warehouse by 2pm, and it’s already passed time. He must be expecting me now.” The ladies nodded in approval. His panic was valid; anyone would too as they had been so lost a while ago.“You can st
Loverina was trying to pick up a pin for her hair. She saw the tag of the gown lying on the floor and then, she picked it up. So tempted to check the price on it. And when she saw it, her eyes almost popped out of it's sockets. Could it be true? But in her life, she never thought. It was too expensi
Jayden tried on the suits one after the other. Annie made sure Gabriel and Loverina suggest too. However, Loverina proposed the same suit Jayden has been admiring. He was surprised when she pointed at it and told Annie, she liked the style and the white stripe used.“I know right. I was in love with
