Mag-log inNiam swallowed and stood up. "I should check on the cook. She's probably done cooking." He said, rubbing his hands on his trousers awkwardly.
Finn nodded, still waiting for the system to heal his bruises. At the same time, he realized he was a little hungry. He watched Niam leave the room, and a smile appeared on his face. He slumped in bed and closed his eyes as a comfortable feeling rose from his neck to his chest. The earlier pain from his neck disappeared, and even without checking it, Finn could tell he was already healed. "Thanks." He said softly. The system ignored him. "The favorability is in 40%, right?" Finn asked. [Yes] "When will I meet the second target?" [When the first target reaches a certain level, the next target will appear.] Finn's eyes widened as he sat up in bed. "Certain level?" The system wasn't even certain. Wouldn't that take forever? When would he ever be able to regain his memories, then? Eight targets with each other reaching 'certain level' before meeting another. How long would that take him? Finn suddenly felt depressed. Living without a single memory of who he used to be wasn't a pleasant feeling, and it made him feel sad often. He wanted to regain his memories as soon as possible. Finn wanted to know everything about his past. Did he have a mother? A father, or even a lover? He wanted to know everything, and he initially thought he would soon get what he wanted. But things weren't the way he expected. Niam was already this slow. How would the rest be? Finn felt the urge to cry. The system appeared before him in the form of a white round object. [You should enjoy this moment as much as you can, host] [Nothing is more fun than falling in love] Finn rolled his eyes. Right then, the door opened, and Niam walked in. Raising his head, Finn's eyes fell on Niam, and the sadness in his eyes reduced significantly. "Food's ready?" He asked. Niam nodded. "Let's go and eat." Finn's eyes brightened. He rushed down the bed and smiled beautifully at Niam. "Let's go." He agreed and took the lead out of the house. Finn had already forgotten about his earlier depression. He was hungry, and that was all that mattered at the moment. Getting downstairs, Finn couldn't stop the deepening of his smile when he saw the table filled with dishes. He gestured at Niam to walk faster, and when Niam didn't, he grabbed Niam's wrist. Niam froze. Finn frowned. His eyes fell on the wrist he was holding, and he tilted his head as concern flashed through his eyes. "Your hands are so cold." He mumbled. But Niam said nothing. His eyes lingered on Finn. "Are you sick?" Finn looked into Niam's eyes as he asked while his hands covered Niam, trying to warm him up. "Do you want to go to the hospital?" Finn's lips parted as he said. His large eyes turned slightly misty from worry. [Ding! Favorability +5] [Congrats, Host. The first target's favorability is 45%] "No. I'm okay." Niam quickly said. His eyes wavered as he abruptly pulled his hand away from Finn's. Finn's brow twitched slightly. He ignored the system's notification as he looked worriedly at Niam, wondering what was wrong with him. Niam walked toward the dining table and sat down. He pressed a hand on his chest and pointed to the meals. "Let's eat." He said. "Oh, right." Finn's mood got better again. He sat beside Niam and smiled brightly as he ate. The meal was delicious and Finn couldn't stop eating. Ever since he woke up, he hadn't tasted such a delicious meal. His mother wasn't proficient in cooking. She would either burn the food or add too much salt, and when Finn bought food from outside, they weren't delicious enough. Finn glanced at the cook who was serving the drink, and he silently wished the system could have made her his mother instead. But what could he do? He could only push everything else behind his mind and eat as much as he could. Who knew when he would eat something so good again? After eating, Finn watched as the maids cleared the table, and his brows twitched. The target was having a really good life. But he had to leave now. Finn stood up and waved at Niam. "I should leave now." He said to him. Niam's jaw clenched. "Why?" He asked in a low voice as he also stood up. Finn looked toward the door. "I don't want your parents to meet me here." He whispered. Finn didn't want Niam's parents to know about his motive. What if Niam's parents knew he was begging Niam to bully him, and they scolded him for that? No, Finn hated to be scolded, and he also didn't want Niam's parents to think he was advising their son to bully someone. Bullying is bad. Niam frowned. "My parents don't come home." He revealed. "They won't come." He added. Finn's lips parted. "They don't come?" Niam nodded. His mood was a little down. Finn's lips pressed into a thin line, and he blinked his eyes rapidly. "Then, can I stay over?" He quietly asked.Lucian stood in place, probably too stunned to speak, while Finn cried endlessly in his arms. This situation had continued for more than ten minutes already. One moment, the boy would tremble like he was finding it hard to breathe, and the next, he would continue crying. Lucian was confused. He wondered what had gone wrong. But for some reason, his heart felt uncomfortable as he watched the boy cry. Once again, his dark eyes slowly changed, replaced by anger, hatred, and slowly morphing into something he couldn't describe. "You regret it," He snapped his head to the side. "Didn't you?" His voice had totally changed. Hearing the familiar voice, the same voice that had haunted him many times in his dreams in the past, Finn choked on his tears and raised his head. The distant, almost detached look on Lucian's face had dissipated, replaced by a familiar calm and accommodating look. Finn's heart let out a loud sound. The sound that almost suffocated him. It was this same look. The e
The night was long. Perhaps it was the drug or something else entirely, but Finn had a sleepless night, and when the next day began, he was forced to stay late in bed, unable to open his eyes. By the time he woke up, it was already past three in the afternoon. He groaned as he rolled around in bed, probably searching for the man who had spent the night with him in the same bed. But he found no one. Opening his eyes, Finn frowned when he realized the room was empty. He removed the blanket, realizing he had been fully dressed and wiped clean. Pursing his lips, he tried to stand up from the bed, but the door opened, stopping his movement. Turning his head, he saw Lucian step in with a bowl in his hand. He walked over and handed it to him. He didn't seem surprised to see him awake. Finn smiled brightly. The target hadn't left him. He had thought the target regretted everything and ran away from him. Oh, he had been overthinking. Taking the steamy hot food, he stared into Lucian
Finn stubbornly held on to Lucian, ignoring his threat and staring as he helped him into the house. The butler uncle showed up with a surprise expression on his face. "Master is drunk. Thank you, Finn. I'll take care of him from here." But he seemed to know more than he let on. Finn watched as the uncle approached Lucian, and for some reason, he felt uncomfortable. Unable to endure it, he stood before Lucian, hindering the uncle from getting closer. "I'll take care of him." This was the mission target, and Finn felt like he should be the one doing the trouble of nursing him back to health. "Isn't he just drunk? Niam and Senior Franklin had been drunk before, and I took good care of them. Don't worry, he will be fine." Finn knew his uncle really cared about Lucian and was worried about him. But he really couldn't let someone else touch Lucian. He had no idea why he felt this way, but he didn't think he needed to think too much about it either. The butler frowned slightly. He look
CHAPTER 34Finn had no idea what was going on, but throughout the day, aside from the butler who came to offer him dinner and the doctor who came to check on him, no one else came. Well, it was more like the person he wanted didn't show up. Finn stared at the empty room with desolation in his eyes. He had never been this lonely since he began his mission. It was either Niam or Senior Franklin. The two had always shared his space and never left his side. Finn suddenly felt sadder. Why was the third target so different? Why was he avoiding him?Finn felt like the third target was a really nice person, the nicest person he had ever seen in his life. Not only did the target rescue him, but he even brought him home and called for a doctor. Finn suddenly realized he hadn't appreciated him yet. Was that the reason the target refused to see him? Did the third target think he was an ungrateful person and thus dislike him and stay away from him? This was the only thing Finn could think ab
Finn opened his eyes in a room. He frowned slightly as he looked around, trying to identify where he was. He remembered he had collapsed on the road and expected to wake up in the hospital. Why was he in a room instead?Finn struggled to sit up in bed when words flowed into his ears. "He's okay now. He only needs some rest." Someone said. "Are you sure that's all?" A deeper and more matured voice rang. "He only needs to rest. I'll watch him for a few more days." "Hm. Thank you, doctor." "You're welcome, Mr Lucian. It's nothing." "Let me see you out, Doctor." Another person interfered. Finn listened attentively. He could tell they were talking about him. By the name Lucian, wasn't that the third target? Did that mean he was in the third target's home? The thought filled Finn with excitement. He hadn't been able to see the man clearly before he fainted earlier, taking advantage of the moment Finn decided to find the man. However, the door opened, and a figure stepped in. He f
Finn left the city after he woke up the next day. He didn't let any of his lovers take him to the airport, as he had a lot on his mind and needed time to sort it out. Ever since Finn opened his eyes in this world, he had never set his eyes on his mother, Lyra, whom the system introduced as a hardworking single mother. Lyra had never called him either, which made Finn conclude that this mother didn't want him or like him at all. The two had lived in a world of their own. Until a few weeks ago, when he suddenly received a message from his mother. The message was detached with no hint of warmth whatsoever. She didn't even ask about his well-being after ignoring him for more than a year. Finn had read the letter and got confused for a while. His mother wanted to remarry, and the new husband wanted a dinner with the whole family. Finn was the only family member Lyra had alive and was unable to hide his presence from her new husband. She decided to invite him back home for the festiv
The class turned quiet. Everyone looked at Finn with shock and disbelief in their eyes. Niam stilled. George's expression darkened. "What did you say?" His voice sounded strained. Finn smiled innocently. "Niam is mine." No one else woul

Finn's brows twitched. He glanced at the hand that held Niam's, and for some reason, his chest felt uncomfortable. He raised his head to the boy's face. "Who are you?" Finn asked quietly. The boy glanced at Finn. He nodded and turned to face Niam. "Niam, have you forgotten me?" He asked with a p
Finn's eyes widened in surprise when he saw Niam resting in bed with his eyes closed. 'Is he about to sleep?' He found himself asking inwardly. [What do you think?] The system's nagging tone sounded. Finn shook his head. He stared at Niam, waiting for the target to stand and do what they inten
