The hatred in Antonio's eyes intensified with each passing second, and the longer he held eyes with Violette, the longer the tension in the air stretched.

Violette knew not everyone would like here here considering the fact that she took the place of an important person, but this man is taking it too far.

He might be the father of the late Teresa, but she didn't beg for this position. She was brought here by The Boss himself, so there's no way she's letting this slide.

She tucked a little smile into her face, refusing to blink as she spoke casually. "If she held such special place in your heart, why not find someone to murder you so you'd go meet her up there?"
