Chapter 1. The Stab.

"All done, sweetheart" Carla's excitement-filled voice spilled into the bridal suite as she finished zipping up the wedding dress. Violette stepped in front of the full length mirror, her beauty unmatched. The makeup glowed in unison with her pristine skin, and the dress is just as perfect. It's a masterpiece of lace and silk with delicate florals and intricate patterns that shimmered in the light. The fitted mermaid silhouette hugged her curves, accentuating her waist and flaring out in a dramatic train that cascaded down. A warm smile graced her face as she turned around, hugging Carla dearly. "Dominic is so lucky to have snatched my sweetheart away" Carla gushed, pulling away to hold Violette's hands. Chapter 2. Hijack.

"No! Dom!!!" Carla's sonorous scream pierced through the hall walls as blood poured out of Dominic's stab, spreading on his white dress-shirt in an uneven circle. The knife is still lodged in his chest, and his painful eyes are locked on Violette's who pushed the knife deeper inside. The guests let out horrified screams, and his parents began running up the stage together with Carla whose stomach is hindering her pace. She almost slipped and fell, but Dominic's father—Mr. Bruno held her. "Careful, don't hurt our baby" he said, and that lightened another spark in Violette's burning skull. Her eyes widened to the end of their widths. They know. They're aware. His friends are definitely aware too, and yet...they receive gifts from her. She has been the only fool after all. Chapter 3. Massimo Visconti.

-- The sudden downpour of water made Violette's eyes open slowly, and a gasp escaped her gummy throat. She must have passed out completely after she was thrown into the truck, and now this environment is unfamiliar. She felt restraints, and that's because her arms are tied behind her. She's laying on the ground with her right side, her mouth gagged. The place smells like sawdust with a mix of dung. Is this a stable? There's a small dim light shinning directly on her face, and just when she was about to start wondering where it's coming from, she was pulled to her knees by strong arms. Chapter 4. The Contract.

Massimo Visconti is a name which spelled doom whenever it was mentioned. Belonging to a devil who's custom-made from hell. The merciless boss of the Cosa Nostra who's allergic to forgiveness and giving second chances. As Massimo kept his eyes zeroed on Violette who's still sitting helplessly on the ground, Violette couldn't help but recall every evil thing she has heard about this man. She shivered like a leaf in storm, and she slowly looked away from those dark eyes, facing the ground. Massimo stretched his hand sidewards, and the other guy placed a combat knife in it. Chapter 5; Rejected.

The smell of injections, medicines and antiseptics mixed together to make Violette's stomach turn. How much she hates the smell of hospitals. It makes her sick to the core. Massimo had driven her to the hospital after the contract signing, and it's surprising how the nurses attending to her pretended not to know about what she did to Dominic. Violette felt like she's the only one who heard the kids just now, and she wondered if these two are really humans or stones pretending to have blood and flesh.
