Thunder rolled and shook the house slightly. My hand reached out and grabbed Raymond’s arm. Slowly, I sat up in the bed and looked towards the shadow in front of me. I let my hand fall to his and slightly tugged him closer to me. Raymond didn't ask questions as he sat on the bed. I moved and wrapped the black blanket around my body as he pulled the comforter away and slid into the bed beside me. I hated that this felt right, I hated that I didn't hate it. My lip curled up a few times as I listened to the howl outside the room.
We lay awkwardly for a moment until I turned towards his body and pushed my face into his neck, taking in a deep breath. He didn't smell like anyone but himself now. His scent was intoxicating and calming. My hand fell on his chest as I rested on his arm. He wrapped that arm around my back as I closed my eyes and allowed myself to fall asleep.
When I woke up, the room was bright, sunlight pooling in front of me, showing dust that was in the air.
"Alpha, there is someone-" A man started to say, but Raymond only held up his unused hand."There is," Raymond said and squeezed my hand,"My mate is here. But, she doesn't like company." He said in a low voice. I kissed his hand and pulled it closer to me, making his body shrug to the side."Of course, Alpha. I have not heard of you finding your mate. Congratulations, Alpha, and uh, Luna." The man said."T-thank you," I said in a very low voice, knowing they heard me."Thank you." Raymond said, I could see a small smile on his face, then he turned serious, "Have there been any reports of rouges?""There have been packs spotted, but there haven't been any more rogues. We've been monitoring the surrounding areas and setting up multiple cameras in the forest. We have yet to find anyone." A voice said"We've also contacted the neighboring packs." A voice said. A voice I knew, mixed emotions ran through my body as I tried to remember that
Maliya’s POVFor two days, I stayed beside Raymond as he searched for 'Morana’s daughter'. If only he knew she was sitting beside him. Liya told me that I had to stay calm and not allow myself to get distracted. So I kept my focus on Raymond. It was difficult to be around Raymond for long; I was waiting for the moment when he would snap. I was waiting for him to hurt me, but he never lost control of his anger. He never even grew frustrated with me. The females were long in the past, as I tried to remind myself to keep my distance from him. I should be angry, five days wasn't enough- but it was. I had completely forgiven him, like the idiot I was. But, out of all the men I've known, he was the only one who showed patience with me.Sometimes throughout the day, he would say a word and make me repeat it. My voice was still soft, but I could feel it growing every time I tried to speak. "Raymond," I said, and looked at his shocked face. I gave a small smile and touched his
Raymond POVAero was howling in pain night after night, so I spent anywhere but the hospital. He was unhappy that we were with unmated females and that we were welcomed into any house we stopped by. He hated me as he thought of our mate. She was beautiful, and what I was doing was hurting myself as well. But I couldn't help but feel disappointed. I should be glad the moon goddess had given me a mate. But why did she give me one that was afraid of me? How could she run a pack with me? I couldn't see her being a strong Luna. She filled my head even when I was in bed with a female. The female tonight was more spontaneous than the others; her moans echoed in her room as she spread her knees more and lifted her delicate ass to me. My hands were on her hips as I thrusted into her ass. My left leg was lifted up to get more rhythm and to deepen my thrust. She cried in pleasure as her face hid in the blanket she was on. I could imagine my mate's face as I closed my eyes and spe

Maliya POVThe white freeze hurt my feet. It burned my feet and made them colder and wet; I hated it. I hated that I was following Alpha Raymond after rejecting him. But I kept my head low as my lip occasionally lifted to growl. I'd have to wait until he's asleep to escape. But, truthfully, once I ran outside in the cold, I didn't know what to do.Liya didn't know how to handle it, so maybe getting caught by him was a good thing. He walked beside me and took long and wide steps in the snow. He looked over to me and then stopped walking, looking at my shoulder, "What happened to your mark?" He asked, and I let out a deep breath and held my head high as I clenched my naked body.Raymond watched as I softly shook my head. He stared at me for a moment and then let go of my arm. And for a moment, I looked back to where we were, and I could escape. But when I looked back at him, I watched as he ran off towards a tree. I could see a bin, and then he pulled out black fa
We had this conversation every day, and every day it was the same. She looked at me and sighed softly as she shook her head, "Jane, just eat." I shook my head and walked towards the door. "What are you doing?" She asked as I opened the door, surprised to find it unlocked."Stop!" Amanda yelled and reached for my hand. I pulled against her hold and shook my head, "Okay, I'll get the doctor. But you have to eat your food!" She said, taking deep breaths through my nose, I nodded my head and walked towards the bed.Amanda held her promise and went to find Dr. Linn. I ate as much food as I could as I sat on the bed and waited for the Doctor. I pushed the plate away and then finished the milk carton. It took a while, but Dr. Linn entered the room with a small smile, "Someone has been telling me you want to leave." He said and raised an eyebrow. I nodded my head eagerly as I looked towards him, "Well, let's see if you are ready." He said.Liya growled as he took a step towards us, but she al
