When I saw his face again as I entered the apartment, my heart stopped for a few seconds.

For a very short moment, I even thought that he had recognized me. Yet soon I realized that it was only Akira West he recognized.

I had mixed feelings. Hate was most of it.

I could not forget what he had done to me eight years ago, yet our one-night stand only meant nothing to him. That night had ruined my life. How I wished I could claw his eyeballs out from its socket!

It took me a while to calm my anger. All for the only reason that I was grateful that he seemed to have protected my son very well.
