"What the hell are you talking about, Liam? Divorce? Here? In the hospital?” I almost laughed.

Never in my life had I met a man so cruel. Liam wasn't just heartless, he was the devil reincarnated, walking around in a man's skin.

“This is my reward? Sixteen hours of excruciating labor to bring your babies into the world, and you thank me with this? Tell me you're joking. Please… tell me you're fvcking joking.”

I couldn't believe it. He wouldn't dare. Not while I was still bleeding and broken from bringing his babies into the world.

But of course, the asshole didn't even flinch. He just kept going.

“I’m taking full custody of the twins,” he said. His voice was cold like ice. “You’re not their mother. Not anymore.”

Then he picked up the car seats, one in each hand, and turned toward the door.

I blinked. And then I rubbed my eyes to be sure if this wasn't a nightmare. My fingers fumbled with the folder, flipping it open. The words "Divorce Agreement" stared back at me in bold, black letters.

It was real.

"Holy shit," I whispered.

My heart instantly stopped.

“No,” I whispered again, then louder. “No!”

My chest burned as panic flooded me. I ripped the IV needle from my arm. And blood ran down my wrist as I stumbled off the bed. The pain ripping through me while forcing my body to stand couldn't be described with words alone. The stitches down there were pulling and I couldn't help but gasp when I felt the fire tearing me apart. But I didn't care.

“Liam!” I screamed as best as I could, stumbling after him. "Liam, wait!"

He didn’t stop. Didn’t even look over his shoulder.

Nurses rushed in and tried to hold me down. They were shouting.

"Mrs. Smith, you can't get up yet!" one nurse shouted, grabbing my arm. "You're not strong enough to stand."

"Please, lie back down!" another urged, her hands hovering over me.

I shoved them off, my hospital gown was falling open as I stumbled forward.

“LIAM!" I screamed again. "Bring them back! They’re my babies! You can’t take them! Please don't do this to me, Liam!”

But he kept walking. His long strides carried him away, and my babies were swinging in his grip.

“What do you mean I won't be their mother anymore? You can't take them from me! They're mine!”

My entire body was shaking.

Liam suddenly stopped at the hospital exit and looked back once. His eyes were empty.

“We’re done, Olivia. Sign the papers. Call me when it’s finished.”

Then he walked out with both car seats in his hands. My babies... he was taking them away.

I staggered after him, pain was ripping through my body, and blood had already soaked my gown. But I kept going.

Nurses didn't stop shouting and tried to hold me back, but I fought them off, my bare feet slapping against the cold floor. I had no idea where that strength came from.

Just moments ago, I could barely lift a damn finger.

“Liam! Stop! You can’t do this! Please, they’re my babies!” my throat cracked with tears.

I grabbed his leg, but he kicked me off like trash.

Still, I chased him into the parking garage, crying so hard I could barely breathe. The cold air cut sharp against my skin, but I didn't care.

"Get the fvcking door," he ordered Vincent.

Vincent nodded and hurried over to Liam's black Rolls-Royce that he valued way more than my life. It was already waiting under the harsh fluorescent lights.

Without thinking, I threw myself against it, pounding the hood.

“Liam, please! Don’t take them from me! I'm their mother! Please, I’ll do anything... just don’t take them! They need me!”

He didn't even look at me as he strapped the car seats in the back with steady hands. Vincent stood silently by the driver’s side, his face was blank as usual.

“Liam!” I screamed again, banging on the window as he slid in. “Talk to me! What did I do? Why are you doing this? I've been nothing but a good wife. I stayed even after you and Evelyn–”

The engine roared, cutting me off. And then he drove off without looking at me.

“Bring back my babies, you bastard!”

I collapsed to my knees on the cold concrete. My body was shaking even harder now as I cried louder. He was gone. He had taken everything.

“No… no, no. That son of a bitch can’t do this to me.”

Olivia's POV “Oh God, it hurts,” I gasped, clutching my stomach. The pain was sharp. My whole body was shaking so much, the cold was digging into my bones. "Liam?" My lips barely moved. The world was fading in and out. “Get her out of there!” a hard voice barked. "Put her in the car, now!" Another voice answered with a panicked tone. “I–I was just trying to take her to the hospital, sir! She collapsed at the gate... no one would help, even when I called! I had no choice, I swear, I didn't want her to die out there! I couldn’t just leave her there!” I forced my eyes open when I heard something creak. Everything blurred. I looked around anyway, and noticed I was lying in the backseat of a car, blood was sticking to my skin. Outside, dark figures moved, surrounding the car. Snow was falling heavily around them. “Where… where am I?” I whispered. “Mrs. Smith,” a calm, familiar voice answered. It was Vincent. “You’ll be taken care of. A doctor is waiting.” “Vincent. My... babi

Liam's POV“Divorce or not, she’s still their mother.” My uncle Henry frowned. “Shouldn’t she be breastfeeding?”I sighed, shutting my eyes for a second. I’d had enough.“Moore,” I called, waving my butler over.He was already hovering nearby.Moore stepped forward instantly, and then he asked, “Yes, sir?”“Get me something strong. Now.”Moore nodded and moved fast, disappearing toward the bar. Then he returned with a decanter and a glass. After pouring, I took a long gulp. The burn of the first swallow hit hard.My grandpa, Arthur, leaned forward, clasping his wrinkled hands. “So, Liam. How did it go? Did she sign the papers?”I ran a hand through my hair, gripping the glass. “I gave them to her. She’s... resisting. Doesn’t want to let go of the twins.”Dad scoffed, swirling his own drink. “She has no choice. You’re a Smith. She’s nothing. She'll sign or we’ll make her. You need a real wife. Someone like Evelyn Vaughn. Olivia has outlived her usefulness.”“Exactly,” my uncle Jackson

Liam's POVThe Rolls-Royce slid into the garage of Smith Estate as I leaned back in the leather seat, rubbing my temples. Olivia’s screams still rang in my ears and her bloodied hands pounding my car, begging for my babies.Pathetic. She was always clinging, always weak. Yet when I glanced down at the smear of red on my sleeve, something twisted in me.Two years of marriage and we were strangers. No... worse. Strangers who fvcked. She was gorgeous, though. She had this snow-pale skin, long golden hair, and that smooth baby face. A body that never stopped tempting me. Always made my c0ck hard. That was why I kept her around. That was why I never got tired of her.“Shit,” I muttered when I saw the crowd. My family was already at the car: parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, even the brats. Their faces pressed to the glass like vultures.“Why the hell are they here?”Olivia's stunt at the hospital had already soured my mood, and now this circus? I wasn't in the mood for their c

We didn't know another language. And I was always the one left bleeding."Liam?" I said, but my voice was very weak.I bit my lip hard as I tried to move, but my limbs wouldn’t listen. I could still feel the stitches holding me together after the tear I had suffered after giving birth. They burned like fire."Don't fvck with me, Olivia.
