Episode 31 - Leaving Home to Asher

Moments later.

I was done packing my very important belongings into a suitcase. Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in." I called.

It was Diego, he walked in and stood with hands in his pocket while assessing what I had done.

"Hey." He greeted.

"Hi."

I tried to smile. I'm sorry he had to meet the family with this going on.

"Asher's downstairs." He informed me.

I smiled genuinely this time. Then upon a second glance at him, I decided he needed an explanation.

"Look Diego, I'm very sorry all these has to happen with you here and at this critical time but--" I was saying.

"No no no," he said, cutting me off. "I totally understand. If you feel this is the best decision then it's fine by me. Trust me, I've seen worse. I'm just so sorry it has to be this way." He said soothingly and giving me that big brother smile. I smiled back.
