The entire drive back to the castle, I am so lost in thought I didn’t hear Liza calling my name.

“Alaric, Alaric, earth to Alaric.” She says waving her hands in front of my face.

“Huh, sorry love I was just lost in my thoughts.” I reply snapping back to here and now.

She giggles saying, “ ha ha are you ok? What I was asking, was how long will we be gone?”

“Yes love, I was just thinking of this special spot my father had built for my mother, I wanted to share with you.” I said as I grab her hand and place a kiss on top of it.

“You never told me about your parents. I’d love to meet them.”
