Rosalie had slowly started to adapt to the lifestyle of barbarians. As time passed, she also noticed barbarians’ lessening aversion towards her. Mostly it had to do with the reforms she brought into the clan. Even though begrudgingly, her opinions were heard and advice followed. Surprisingly, Ryker's disposition too had somewhat softened towards her. Just a little bit.

Today she decided to stay home and spend her day with Helena.

She waited for Ryker to leave and once he was gone, she entered his house with a big grin. She saw the maid cooking in the kitchen as she walked towards Helena’s room. Did he not eat? She wondered but shook the thought away quickly.

The door creaked when she opened it.

“Helena, are you awake?” she called softly as she entered the room. It was dark as usual.
